  • Any good reviews on all the cool things to do with this one or Nest Hub?

    • Not many cool things to do with these. Can't even do a proper search, voice search only so you're stuck with the results of each voice search, no onscreen keyboard, no browser, no Playstore app support….

      • ah,shame, was planning on using it near the kitchen for music (already have a home nest mini) but the screen would have been useful for a shared family calendar and the wheater reports, but might as well get a cheap tablet and keep it plugged in constantly

It does have a camera for Duo calls…if that counts as a cool thing.

          • @nomadspartan: That will be the end of facetime I guess…

        • The sound quality on the max is pretty good for music. You can cast to it for tv shows. Photos frame from Google photos. Multiple on screen timers for cooking. Alarms. Duo calling. View cameras from wyze, TP-Link, nest and others. Home control. Add items to shopping list by voice. News and Weather. Can become part of a Google speaker group.

        • I have a hub max in the kitchen, the speaker is good. But the device was a testing platform for Google's Android replacement fushia. As I mainly use it to watch YouTube while cooking, I find It is slow, can not double tab to FF, screen res is poor for this price. But I bought mine @ $180. Probably already too much for my liking.
I use it with Eufy and Kesa too, but the loading time is not usable.
Get a cheap Samsung tab, and a good Bluetooth speaker, and u can still carry that tablet elsewhere.

  • Can't work out the point of the "Total Security Package" for $907 (includes Nest Doorbell + Nest Cam + Hub Max)

    Or
Front Door Monitoring Package for $329 (includes Nest Doorbell (battery) + Nest Hub (2nd gen))
    +
Outdoor Monitoring Package for $329 (includes Nest Cam (battery) + Nest Hub (2nd gen))
    +

    Nest Hub Max for $249

$908 (or leave out the Nest Hub Max if you don't need the camera built in and pay $658!)

    Am I missing something?

Best thing to do if you want multiple cameras is pre-order them individually so you can get multiple Nest Hubs to either keep and sell on. Then buy the Hub Max separately on sale for $211.

      • I fee like either the $907 or the $329 is a price error

  • Got to be a new version coming out soon? This has been out for ages now.
