FYI the 'integration' with Google is quite poor from my perspective. For example- when you ask Google to 'show me the doorbell' it takes like 45 seconds for Google Home to boot up the Eufy app to load the image and you cant speak to someone through it.

For this reason I preordered the Nest Doorbell and Cameras. For others that want seamless integration with Google Home, this seems to be the way to go (a bit pricey at the moment though)

    • 45 seconds is a long time. But u can view much quicker with their app? And can you use the hub as wifi hub for other smart devices? Thanks

      • Yeah with the app its like 3-10 seconds depending on connectivity.

You can use the Hub as another wifi hub for smart devices - connectivity to those will also have a similar lag given it will be a third party plugin to Google Home, just like Eufy is.

        • Yea, not ideal hey. Planning to use the hub as "wifi siren" via door/windows motion sensor. Thanks

    • Yeah this is why I grabbed the nest doorbell, it will all "just work".

After various gift cards it become cheap enough, and the free nest hub was a good incentive.

      • May i know how much after all gift cards? Still deciding eufy or nest. I like the local hub storage but as someone mentioned below no use if someone is wearing a mask.

        • I still had some 15% off HER Gift Cards from the sale last christmas, so ended up being $279.65 @ JB.

Though Suncorp have 5% off JB Hi-Fi gift cards so it'll be $312.55 if you go that way.

If you've already got a google nest/google home then I'd probably recommend it even if it's a bit pricier (though the nest hub offsets that a bit).

    • i agree, or sometimes ill have movement on the camera, and it would take about 5 seconds to alert me.
its still pretty good device tho i am tempted on checking out the new google door bell. wonder how that integrates with the google eco system

      • Is it slow to alert in their app as well? I guess 5 secs is not the end of the world but still…

Depends on connectivity. Sometimes its like 1 second, sometimes it can be 5-10 seconds. If your battery saver mode kicks in on your phone, then it will be like 10-20 minutes.

  • I would like one without the base if there is any specials

we have this and highly recommend it - it's not perfect but is very robust

  • Does this work with Homekit?

  • Can someone easily steal it?

    • +5

Yes, I can get one for you. How much are you willing to pay?

    • technically yes, but the back part is screwed and but camera part you only need a screw driver. (same way you need to remove it after some months to recharge it.

but then you will have the theif's face. but if he/she comes with a mask you are helpless.

If you own one and have the pin you can easily steal other people's 😁 or know how they install

Absolutely crap. By the Ring instead. I have had this one and the Ring and find the old model of ring is better!

Is there a seperate chime/extender available in AU? I sometimes don’t hear the doorbell chime from another storey.

    • Not sure about that… but you do get alerts on your mobile and watch if you wanted to. And to be frank, this one is pretty loud.

    • got the same problem :(

    • You can use your Alexa devices to act as a chime for your doorbell. So if you’ve got multiple Alexa devices scattered around your home, then whenever someone rings the Bell at the front door, it will play around all of the Alexa devices

      • Can you do it with the Google Home Mini?

        • not sure

        • No, not at the moment.

  • Had one of these for about a month and very happy with it. Getting doorbell alerts on my phone and being able to talk to delivery people from anywhere is very handy.

I’ve got three cameras connected to the Hub as well, and it’s great to not have to have all separately connected to the WiFi. Hub is connected via Ethernet.

    • Do you mean that if someone presses the doorbell, it automatically streams to the google hub? If so - What's the delay on this?
Do you have to trigger the feed by saying 'Google show me the door'?

      • No it doesn’t auto stream to Google home hub. As I say, the notification comes to my wife’s and my phones.

The cameras connect to the Eufy hub, not sure if that’s where the confusion is.
