    "RRP: $999"

It's a Chromebook, with a chip that would have looked sad 5 years ago and less storage space than a $50 phone.

    Compared to: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/646328

with a far better chip [twice as fast] and 8 times the storage it's really hard to see where the bargain is.

      It's also a 2019 model

      • I also missed that the i5 Lenovo, as well as being a year newer, is a "U" rather than "Y", so 4 cores against two.

I really can't for the life of me see how this could compare, and the RRP is beyond bizarre for something that would have trouble loading a Whirlpool page. It's even flipping heavier…

I agree. As the poster is associated, I think the deal deserves a negative vote.

    • @terrys I agree. In some ways, the specs look similar, but the Lenovo Flex 5i is the better deal (although a little more expensive).

  • This must be pretty slow. We got an Acer laptop (PC) from Amazon a couple of years ago sub-$500 with a i3-10110U chip which is faster than this and was a new release at the time. Sure it is not touch-screen or 2-in-1 but otherwise the specs were identical or better (128 GB SSD I think, and the weight is very similar).

Anyone associated to a store who starts the description with "great deal" is automatically suspicious

  • Such low specs and y is it so heavy?

What an amazing chassis wasted on a limited OS and limited specs

  • Previous model with similar specs was reviewed here https://youtu.be/Fo1pFuBvZM8

They're just fine if you are just looking to use Chrome/Gmail/Docs/Sheets and some Android games.

    • I don't disagree with the use case, but there are better cheaper options available.

  • It's this a bit slow even compare to some Andriod Pad on the same price level?

    • YMMV Depends on the app. Not all apps translate well to Intel architecture, but many apps work very well.
