Tenda MW6 is equivalent to Deco 5.
As a matter of fact, the deals “Buy MW3-3PK or MW5s-3PK, to get a bonus MW3-1pk” or “Buy MW12-3PK or MW6-3PK, to get a bonus MW6-1PK” are available from any authorized resellers.

It is not via redemption any more. The bonus unit is shipped together, not only through Tenda store, but also from other authorized resellers' store.

      • Hey GeekLife,

I purchased the three pack during June and submitted the claim during July - I still haven't gotten a confirmation email though, nor my bonus Tenda.

Do you know the best way to follow this up?

  • Will this work with mobile hotspot wifi as the source?

  • Code is not working

    • +2

Have to purchase via Ebay app and select google pay as method

      • but can you Redempte the 1 extra unit from it?

        • As per the picture I believe it comes via default. As it will be shipped with the package

  • Hi Rep, can we get the bonus one purchasing through this Ebay listing?

  • Is anyone else getting charged for postage? Mine's showing $10. $101 delivered for me.

I just upgraded from a 2 pack of the MW3. It was fantastic to start out with however if you have a decent amount of devices in the home (25+) then I'd recommend buying something with a bit more grunt. Towards the end we were finding the wifi a bit flaky and not as rock solid as we started. Light usage is perfectly acceptable though. Can't complain about the range either.

    • What did you upgrade to? I was a raving fan about this too when I first installed but now find it struggling to keep up with multiple iPads watching youtube, Netflix, light bulbs, googles, PCs etc all chugging together in the evenings.

      • I went with the D-Link COVR 1872 pack that I saw on ozb for $254 at Officeworks. I already have an edgerouter X so I just needed it for wifi duties. Setup is definitely clunkier than the tenda but it seems to be working good so far. Seems pretty stable.

  • Hrmm need to get another router/mesh to extend my current setup. Have two Samsung Smartthings wifi hubs meshed together. Can't buy them new anymore so an option is to buy 1 unit second hand for about $120 or buy one of the Tenda setups and bridge the networks. Any suggestions? Or would this double NATing also cause issue with my smart home devices (wifi bulbs, sockets, Google nest hubs/minis, etc.).

Happy to pay a bit extra than the MW3 - i.e. MW5 or MW6 or possibly beyond.

Edit: Looks like I'll need the MW12 - supports up to 120 devices. The MW6 only supports 80 I think and my current hub has around 90 devices

    • Double NAT will break your home automation.

      • +1

Then put the tenda in bridge mode. So no NAT.

damn, just spent $160 on mw6

  • Any ideas please

I have the rebadged Kogan version - all of a sudden the
green light at front has changed to red on all units except primary one! Why?

Performance appears to be ok still?
