  • $25 delivery to Townsville.

  • Clearing old stock. Finally I'll be able to get a Kindle with USB C lol.

  • Is it worthit to buy kindle vs reading on 8" tab ?

you cant compare dude… I tried with a tablet… A kindle battery last at least 2 weeks , or 1 weeks if you read a lot everydays. The reading quality is nice, even inthe sun. With a tablet, you cannot read if you are in the sun. A tablet battery will last few hours only. Kindle reader is nice and clear, i like it, you can also use Kalibre to organize your collection.
Moreover, the kindle is waterproof. You never know what happen when you are reading some books and you become wet.
and last thing, a tab is heavy, no matter what model you choose/find, it will be always heavier than the kindle. It doesnt sound important, but it is.

      • You can get anti glare screen protectors

It feels much more comfortable reading text for a length of time on an electronic ink device, even with an anti-glare screen on an LCD.

        • With anti glare and under the sun, I think you will hardly be able to read any text from the tablet

      • I've had one for ages, a Gen2 if I recall, pre built in light. They are great for ebooks but crap for pdf or colour magazines…tablet much better there but I read ebooks mostly so ideal…good for bushwalking too if it is an illuminated model) as they are light weight compared to a tablet.

    • Should buy a 8" e-reader, like this one https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/kobo-forma-8-ereader

At that price, I should hope it includes a lifetime of free eBooks!

JB has a better offer, use Zip as payment method then get $30off. 32gb for $139. Then just pay the $139 right away. I hope this helps.

  • Rumor is that, Amazon will release Kindle Paperwhite 5 and Oasis 4 in 2021. They will have larger screens and more functions.

  • Just ordered one from OW. Figured I was not going to pay $180-$200 for a new model. Rather than getting the entry level model, better to pick up the paperwhite at (almost) the same price! i guess the key difference is 167ppi vs 300ppi
