OP, should probably list the specs in the description, would be a help.

Note that the laptop doesn't have the RTX3080 onboard.
It's actually the Asus ROG Flow X13 (GTX1650 onboard dGPU) + Asus ROG XG Mobile (RTX3080 eGPU)

    • So what’s the difference between dgpu and egpu?

      • eGPU is an external GPU. Basically you need to plug in the RTX3080 module to use it.
dGPU is just dedicated GPU which is the GPU the laptop has inbuilt
Also performance is quite underwhelming according to this review

        • Why does it not show picture of the egpu?

          • @MuddyClear: It shows it in the description. It's a very slim eGPU, at least compared to thunderbolt 3 enclosures and the Alienware amplifier
Or have a look at the review I linked above to see what it looks like in real life next to the laptop

and note this is not the 3050ti on-board version

  • What a beast of a laptop!

  • Thanks for the advice team.

Would this be ok for some web browsing and maybe some basic word processing tasks? Thanks

    • This is 1000x overkill for those tasks. Is this is a r/woooosh?

        Fairly certain it was joke

    • Not quite. Might need to go the next model up.

Hmm. It's a bit short of RAM and the 1650/3080 combo might not really cut it on demanding webpages with a lot of animated gifs. Would recommend stretching your budget a little more for the higher end model.

    • Nah it probably won't cut it
      I have a pc with a
      ryzen 9 3900xt
      64gb ram (albeit 2666mhz)
      Rx6900xt
      1tb 980 pro

It still struggles in basic web browsing sometimes
As for word processing, idk, I don't use word
I use notepad as it runs really well

      • Damn was thinking of using wordpad on it. Might have to go next model up to do that.

Hopefully i can have a game of minesweeper on this laptop.

Would they accept a split payment?
    1x kidney + $99 cash + coupon code

    • +1

Two kidneys + $300 + your firstborn child, and you have a deal.

Thrown in your liver and we give you a bonus laptop carry bag.

  • 🤦‍♂️

"GET READY TO FLIP" says the product page

I am flipping already looking at that price

I was doing some research on this, and apparently the 1650 variant of the x13 has some issues with the eGPU connector. Which the newer 3050/ti version fixes.

Just something to look into for a $4000~ laptop :)

  • This or Alienware M15 R6 (11th Gen i7 11800H 16GB RAM 1TB SSD RTX3080 360Hz) Dell ebay $3,491.20 or even Alienware X15 R1 (11th Gen i9 11900H 32GB RAM 1TB SSD RTX 3080) Dell ebay $4,428.99? I purely need it for graphic design and video editing work with light outdoor work. If we disregard the size diffences which would be the best value to get?

  • They raised the price to $4299 now…

    • Ok it's back down to $4099
