      and 3% cashrewards … hmm

  • My G1 finally arrived last week. Stunning image, definitely recommend (C1/G1/whatever, they're all similar)

  • There is that LG A1 55' 4k OLED for 2,155.50. It also says something about "Bonus $300 Realca$h on LG OLED55A1PTA and OLED65A1PTA (09 August 2021 - 08 September 2021)" I have no clue what that means….

    • Don't go A1. 60hz only, and HDMI 2.0 (no HDMI 2.1)

Got a BX and recommend LG OLEDs wholeheartedly.

(No regret not holding out for the C1 / G1 btw)

Had a Samsung QLED before this, lucky it had a dead pixel so I could return it because their interface was crap, it had ads you couldn’t remove & the software froze…

LG’s remote is much better too.
Doesn’t look as cool but way more functional.

you will probably find Sony even better, I have both Sony and LG C1, found LG OS laggy

      • +3

Sony uses Android, no other TV OS is anywhere near as good as Android - one of the dumbest things about TV is that manufacturers continue to insist on putting their own proprietary OS onto them. We figured this out decades ago with computers, years ago with phones. Yet for some reason manufacturers continue this braindead trend.

        • Agreed. But it’s a simple combo of licensing costs for android and also people not putting the OS high on the priority list as a deciding factor. Its one of those things you don’t notice when it’s not a problem.

Go 65 if you can. Big difference.

      • Besides the size, anything else ?

I was tossing and turning whether to go 55 or 65 for ages, but honestly, sitting less than 2M from the screen, all online resources pointed towards 55 being best for that viewing distance.

Since receiving the 55, I’m sure some content would look better and more immersive, but there’s no doubt in my mind 65 would be too big for a lot of things at my distance.

Not to mention I’m a renter, so transporting the 55 in the future is going to feel a lot less sketchy.

55 is still a big TV for a lot of people.

  • Just got the 77C1 from JB and wow what a TV, upgraded from a Samsung 65KS8000 and no more light bleed a very happy man

    • Yep the size difference makes a huge difference

  • SPRING code isn’t working for me, Eg on 55” or 48”?

  • Ah it expired at 6am

    • So sad… was also considering getting one.

    • This is devastating, I even set up a search alert for this and missed it FML

  • Gents, this TV was 200 dollars cheaper in the past

    Hope you got price protection

  • I was buying a $1000 washing machine from Good Guys by phone, so asked the local store on the phone if they could still give me a 48" C1 at the 10% off (2065) - they said sure (although 4-6 weeks wait).
