Kindle Paperwhite for $10 more (current price at JB or GG) is a much better buy.

Yes I must agree with your comment. For only an extra $10 much better ppi and waterproof.

    • totally agree, the JB or GG or OW offers KPW 8G waterproof at $129 now:

much better display (300PPI vs 167PPI) and new waterproof feature.

    • I got a paperwhite from GG and I am actually really enjoying it.

      • I currently have a Kobo Libra H2o which lets me change to a warm light when reading at night with no lights on in the room and that's very easy on the eyes. Could you please tell me if reading on the Kindle at night is ok on the eyes? I know it lets you reduce the brightness etc. but is that enough or should I get a Kobo for the wife too? Cheers.

        • Hi, i don't seem to be able to change to warm light.

I find fine reading at night.

Sorry, don't know if this helped much.

          • @Cookiescream: Thanks, it definitely helps. Yes Kindles don't have a warm light which is called comfort light pro in Kobo's e readers, but I think at $129 I will just get the paperwhite. Cheers and have a great afternoon.

  • There has got to be a new Kindle model coming soon. The current designs are quite old, and the most recent updates were really minor. By the way, I used my iPad Pro for reading books because it looks great, and I don’t get eye strain because I use glasses and read in dark mode (and night mode at night). Also not limited to Amazon books.
