      Short answer: probably.

      The not so short answer:

      • The following gift cards issued by Coles Group Ltd1 cannot be used as payment for third-party gift cards, as they will be blocked by the POS system and will return an Invalid Product Mix error.

      • The Coles gift cards sold by Cashrewards have a different card prefix, so the POS system should let you use it for a third-party gift card purchase.

      • Gift cards issued by Coles Group Ltd clearly states that they cannot be used for purchases of gift cards, so staff members at your local Coles may stop you from paying for a gift card with a gift card issued by Coles Group Ltd. This has not happened to me before, but this is the reason my short answer is probably.

      • Coles’ POS system does not allow any split payments for gift cards at self-service checkouts under any circumstances.

      • If you are seeking to do split payments (e.g. a gift card and a debit/credit card) at a checkout, you need to go to a standard checkout (i.e. either at a checkout with a dedicated staff member who packs your groceries for you, or the service desk).

      1. Third-party gift cards at Coles are defined as gift cards that are not issued by Coles Group Ltd. If you have a gift card where you can check the balance here, it was issued by Coles Group Ltd. ↩

      2. The gift card prefix is the first eight numbers of the gift card number. It is not the first eight numbers of the gift card barcode number. ↩

              @Newgod: The gift card number starts with 6273 4010, so only input from those numbers going forward.

              I just checked the balance for a different Coles gift card and it works, so the site should be working.

              @Newgod: Alternatively, if you still have the receipt for the last purchase you used the Coles gift card, it will have the balance printed there.

              FYI, if you use a gift card as payment at Coles, but it has insufficient balance, the checkout will decline the transaction, but will then display the balance of the gift card and ask you whether you want to up the remaining balance on the gift card.

      Amazon tracking is not close to real time like a lot of other stores. They batch report sales twice daily, so could take a day or two to hit your account.

      Not weird at all. Amazon apparently does their CR reporting in batches several times a day, and I've found it can sometimes take a day or so before it shows up.

      Purchase a $50 Coles gift card and then going to your local Coles and using that $50 Coles gift card to purchase a Google Play gift card. The checkouts don’t block paying for Google Play gift cards with Coles gift cards.

      However, this assumes that the staff will let you do that. The staff at the Coles stores near me don’t care, but other people have reported that staff at other Coles stores stop you from using Coles gift cards to pay for gift cards.

      Your mileage may vary.

    Can cash rewards have a payment method other than the stupid confirm card that NEVER works?

    No pending transaction ever appears no matter what card I attempt to use.

    Either charge the card directly or allow paypal.

      This is a restriction imposed by True Rewards, not Cashrewards and it's obviously there to prevent fraud. Have you tried downloading and using the financial institution's app (works for 28 Degrees and others). Please let us know what cards you're using (hopefully it's not prepaid cards). Thanks.
