    The Ainol Novo 7 Aurora has similar specs with a better screen:

    Display: 7 inch IPS Capacitive Screen 1024×600 pixel resolution.

    The 8GB version is about US$50 more than this tablet. Lots of Youtube videos about the Ainol.

    Is it worth the little extra? The higher-rest and IPS display (better viewing angles) suggest a YES!

    Yep. Got mine yesterday. Amazing for the price. Got 4.0.3 on there with all google apps and rooted. Works great. Although browsing seems a bit slow.         They're available with euro plugs for a cent on ebay, inc delivery. They'd be roughly the same quality and as suitable for aussie sockets.

          Oh,didn't know that I could use the cable that's fine.

          The cable might even fit into this aussie plug thing I bought for my kindle. If so, great, less crap.

          I am just so hoping I will be able to do some surfing. I do NOT want to carry my laptop around asia. I can do a tiny bit on my 3g kindle, but it is very clumsy.

        i logged a paypal case for this last week and they still had the nerve to reply back with a tracking number for China shipping with shows 'ITEM NOT FOUND'. Are these people stupid? CLearly theres a problem here… thank god I paid with Paypal… wont shop from focal every again I guess! Plus the novelty has worn off… I'm over wait for it anyway.

          I had lodged a dispute via Paypal few days ago, they told me might take up to 45 days for the item to delivery!!!

          WTF!!! On the site showing 14days to AU. The most important thing was the tracking number they provided was not working atm, I trying track my item many times via China post and kept on getting the message the item not found or the website was overloaded.

          Right now, I take it further and escalated the dispute to get Paypal to review my case and waiting few more days for respond.

          If you still haven't receive your item, you better lodge a dispute via Paypal ASAP!!!

          Once I get my money back, I will not buy from Focal again!!!!

      Yeah, I haven't received mine yet either. It was apparently sent on the 6th of March, so nearly a month has passed now. I've only just contacted them and am now waiting for a response. By the looks of things, it seems they've run out of stock and failed to tell anybody.

    When did you guys order? i ordered one 2 days ago and they game me a tracking number.
    mine was not china though, tracked on Hong Kong website~ it says its being processed.
    waiting for it to show up on australia post.

        I can track my item, but the website's given me the same message for weeks now. Googling the message tells me it means it hasn't reached Australia yet and perhaps hasn't even boarded a plane in China yet.

    Whats really annoying is how can it possibly take like 6-8 weeks for delivery when generally these days purchases from china / asia take around 2 weeks tops for delivery. I get the feeling they dont have stock or have oversold or perhaps even come across some other issue with the item?

    SUCCESS PEOPLE!!! I logged a claim through Paypal about 2 weeks about not recieving it.. Focalprice replied back with the tracking number that was attached to my order - which doesn't work and its untrackable.. I guess based on this information and the long delay Paypal decided to close the case and refunded me… never know maybe it will also turn up lol (but I doubt it!)

    I was told mine was posted in early March. I queried where it was 5 WEEKS LATER and they have said it did not leave China until 30 March and a whole lot of bu&^#hit about China Post taking 45 days to send on from there. I will never buy from this lot again and will make sure that as many people know what a crap service they offer.

    AVOID FOCALPRICE LIKE THE PLAGUE. THEY ARE SCUMBAGS AND LIARS.

    OMG I just worked it out… this company didn't send any items.. and kept telling buyers to wait until 18 April or 19 April to receive them…. SCAM! because most people would have purchased it 45 days or more ago before this date! Paypal only gives you a window of time (45 days or under)to raise a dispute for not receiving the item.

    I raised my dispute and got my money back..

    Feel sorry for those who are 'still waiting' for something that isn't going to arrive.

    It didn't take that long to reach me, i would say max 2 weeks probably at the Australian customs.
    maybe i was lucky, maybe others were not.
    Anyway mine came with ICS 4.0.3. =)
    but im trying to find a new rom for it, been doing my readings.

    I received mine today. They did not respond to any email correspondence.

    Everything is in Chinese. I went online and found how to change most of the icons, etc, to english. The paperwork that came with it is all in Chinese.

    Upgrade it to ICS, you won't regret it. Just got to play with mine today(arrived a few days ago).

    The update fixes the market, makes it all run smoother. The screen isn't great, but it's a $35 tablet, so I'm happy with it.

      I can't believe this thing actually showed up. I wonder what about those folks that have done the paypal reversals.
