  • Ordered an S21 Plus on Saturday, and despite the status showing as "Dispatched", no tracking update on the Auspost app.

    I am guessing they are struggling with a large volume of orders due to this promo.

  • Ultra 256gb being OOS has also got me thinking: for those who take a reasonable amount of photos/videos, did you:

    • Buy the 128GB (whether S21 Ultra/Plus/standard), and paid USD20-30/year for additional cloud storage?
    • Buy the 256GB/512 and not paid anything for additional cloud storage?

    Difference in price between the 128/256gb is AUD100. Right now, for Google One - 100GB: USD20 annually and 200GB: USD30 annually.

    I have a 128GB phone at the moment (OP 8 Pro) – it's almost filled up, but that's partly because I'm lazy about backing up photos, removing apps etc.

          yes they will. it will be $175+ admin fee of $60.

          the bonus ($500) and discount off RRP ($200) shall not be charged. If I am charged with those, I will let you know. I have ordered S21 128gb for $369 after my phone was valued at $30.

  • Just had an email conversation with the tradeup team as my phone cracked and no longer carries any value after I already submitted and got the below:

    "Thanks for your query, if you wish to not return your old device you will be charged the full trade-in credit you received at checkout when purchasing your new device. After this it will no longer be a requirement to return your old device to us. We hope that this information has been helpful.

    Unfortunately, we do not have the exact time frame of when you will be charged, this is an automated process and the charge should occur after 14 days has passed since you were sent your return label."

        I have asked for clarification, but my understanding from that is the amount that they offered for the phone, for my instance it was $40

        As the tradeup team only have the knowledge of your amount they offered you. They do not have any oversight of the actual purchase and samsung bonuses

        • they have not mentioned any admin fee here either.

        • The deal before this one has almost been 2 weeks and surely someone has been charge soon for not sending their phone and will be able to share this info.

          • @TheStapler: There was no $60 non-return admin fee last time. So their experience is irrelevant as that was under the old T&C.

            • @vchung916: Awaiting a response from the tradeup department, but talking with samsung they have confirmed they believe it to just be the tradeup amount not the bonus or even an administration fee (As this was not stated in the response I got)

      so that is only the trade-up value of your phone right? can you reply and get their to clarify whether it's only that and not the $500 bonus. Also would it be possible for you to ask whether you will incur an admin fee as well? from their email, it seems they aren't referring to any admin fee.

      • It's just the trade in value of Ur device, bo bonuses. You might get charged with the administration fee but the email I got didn't mention any admin fees

    For all those who ordered and your orders are sitting on 'dispatched' with no updates or tracking numbers… I called Samsung this morning and was given my tracking number but also told that there is current a worker strike happening at StarTrack, hence theres a backlog. No idea how accurate this is, just a messenger. They did say that they are aiming for the orders to be collected by the courier this week as they're apparently still sitting at the Samsung warehouse. Tracking number currently shows as not in StarTrack's system yet so this makes sense.
    I purchased mine on Friday 17th, told that it should hopefully arrive by the end of the week.

    For those wondering if they should get the custom colours - the website says 7 weeks but my order has been updated and states estimated delivery 08/10/2021 (Phantom Brown 256GB Ultra) and I ordered on Friday. If the ETA is correct, its a 3 week turnaround

      Great find! I was able to add this offer so the Buds2 come down to $109.50. And don't forget to add a free case. They are a bit hard to find but the product numbers are in the t's and c's. There is a clear case and a bunch of star wars themed cases:

    I made an account here just because I was so frustrated over how no one had yet explained the issue with not receiving the email containing the $50 discount.

    Quote: "It appears that you have successfully registered, however, your email provider may have blocked emails from our promotional account." This is from using a Gmail account. I contacted [email protected] a day after signing up, and next day later got a response of what the issue was, and got the code for the $50 discount. I know someone who signed up a month ago and never received the code, so just auto send an email to them.

    And I too was suffering with not being able to get the correct chat support for the $100 off on desktop, quickest solution I had was just going onto the site on mobile, and immediately got the chat window. Then periodically sent a msg so the chat didn't time out or was closed, then no questions asked got the $100 discount. Just said, was referred here (to the chat support) by [relative] where I can receive a loyalty discount on the s21+ deal.

    Ordered the phone on the 19th, today 21st got a text msg of Startrack shipping no. Was in NSW @ 2:10pm today, was then in VIC @ 9:23pm. Expected delivery day is tomorrow 22nd… Just so others can have some reference on where shipping is at.

    I managed to get the s21 with the same trade up deal earlier in May this year. I ordered on 16th of May, didn't trade in my old phone and wasn't charged until 12th of June. Hope anyone finds this helpful as a reference to how long the time frame would be before you get charged
