      • Ordered Black S21 Ultra on the 20th, still no delivery :/
After multiple online chats timed out after 45 minutes, I went to the Samsung Kiosk last week, who said they'll "look into it". That went nowhere, so I just got off the phone with Samsung who said they'll escalate it to their back-end team to investigate…. within 5 business days.

  • +1

Just received a call from DB Schenker (logistics company) regarding my S21+ Black order, a number of Samsung customers myself included have been waiting a long time for their delivery. DB Schenker are going to declare it lost in transit and notify Samsung who will (hopefully) send another one or (hopefully not) issue a refund

    • Was it a private number? I just missed a call while on was on the phone complaining to Samsung (again).

      • Yes, private number. Better start answering those if your phone is missing.

    • +1

Yep I got that exact call earlier

    • Out of 28 pages of comments this is the first mention of DB Schenker being involved in the delivery process.
All comments regarding delivery note that StarTrack are the delivery company that Samsung use.
Are you sure the call was from DB Schenker??
There are a ton of scams using false SMS, email, phone calls pretending to be legitimate delivery companys.
      - don't give out any personal (especially banking) details.
Samsung will already have the info from when you ordered the phone, so there would be no reason for a supposed delivery company to ask for any further info.

      • +1

DBS is the fulfilment agent (warehouse/logistics/pickpack) / startrack does the deliveries.

      • +2

Granted it was a cold call, and I'm very suspicious about cold calls and private numbers. I'm as certain as could be that the call was legitimate, the agent from DB Schenker was Australian, already knew my name and that I was waiting for the Samsung phone and wanted no more information from me than whether I'd received the phone or not. She was polite, patient and helpful and I'd give her 10 stars for customer service.

I also received the 'Ready for processing' Star Trak notice weeks ago, but the state has never progressed beyond that. It's apparent to me that DB Schenker are the middle man logistics company involved in Samsung's dispatch services.

This makes sense as Samsung aren't in the business of being in the Australian logistics business, they'd use specialist companies in each market they sell to.

    • +1

Hopefully you get two phones, one free, the other super discounted

      • Sure hope so, feel like I've been through the wringer on this one

  • I used a Revolut burner card, that expires after a single charge (in this case the pre-aut). No charges yet. Happy to pay if they ask. Wonder if they will come looking.

    • Lol, same as me, I use the Zip pay card. Emailed them about updating new card details but they answered that manual charge is not available yet. They clearly know nothing. Will wait and see.

    • Should have done this, but wanted the bonus extended warranty from ANZ Black card

      • they're talking about the card used for the tradeup app, which has nothing to do with the warranty. it's just to cover whatever charge might incur from asurion. u can use different card when buying via samsung website for the extra warranty of the phone

    • Any update on this? What did they do when they couldn't charge you for the trade-in value? Have they sent the drone out yet?

      • Still nothing. Received the last warning email about trade-in value charge if not returning in 48 hours. Will see what’s next. I actually requested to update new card details but they said it’s not available so nothing I can do atm.

        • I used a burner card as well, wonder what they will do. The way I see is nothing they can do except keep on sending you emails.

  • Just for those still waiting for delivery.

I asked Samsung about the warranty period of the new phone. Their agent stated it would be from the Purchase Date, not the delivery date. So with delivery now getting towards a month's wait, I still don't have a phone, if it does arrive it will only have 11 months warranty and Samsung have had my money for nothing for a month.

    Thanks for nothing Samsung.

    • You negged because you don't like this fact, or I got it wrong? Pos / Neg aren't Like / Dislike. Just because you don't like something doesn't make it not true

  • Placed an order of customise S21 Ultra 128G on 27 September, just got an email today says Your Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G is being made.

Please allow up to 6 weeks for it to arrive. You will receive an email notification when it arrive.

I wondering how long does it will be dispatched after you guys received this email?

    • i ordered 1 day earlier than you and still at processing.

      • I think soon you will received that email

    • I ordered on 17/09 and received my customised S21U today, 13/10, so roughly 3 weeks+ in my case.

      • Have you received the email notification when it was shipped?

        • +1

Yes, I got email that the phone been dispatched yesterday and it arrived today, pretty fast for delivery from NSW to TAS.

          • @r4ndomstrang3r: Thanks for your information, hope my phone is not faraway now

            • @ozvince: Have you got any update? Mine is still at processing.

              • @kajidzz: No updates. Still says customizing

                • @ozvince: Mine changed from "processsing" to "prepare to dispatch" yesterday and I got an email saying it is shipped this morning. But I could not find anywhere to track the delivery.

  • Asking for a friend, anyone knows if the EDS and ODS code still stackable? I'm pretty sure it stacked when I ordered few weeks ago.

  • On board with driver @11am, and still now hvnt receive the parcel yet ^_^

  • Has anyone in Melbourne received their order recently? Been waiting 3 weeks for my S21!

    • ordered on 21st Sept. Haven't received it yet. contacted samsung. it's a dead end.

  • +1

Received my S21 a few weeks ago but no follow up from Asurion? Also get a screen protector guys, the screen gets scratched so easily! I have only put it in my pocket there are already multiple scratches, not too sure what happened… Is anyone having the same issue? Never had this issue with any of my previous Samsung phones.

    • +1

There is a screen protector already applied to the phone when you first open it out of the box - someone correct me if I am wrong please!

      • There was a piece of plastic on the screen but I had to remove it a few days ago because it was slowly coming off. Other than that, no screen protector?

        • +3

there should be a piece of plastic and screen protector on it

it can be hard to see the screen protector, but looking around the edges of the screen or camera hole should make it easier to see

      • Yes, I can confirm. Once you remove the plastic there is still an invisible film protector. Ngw3 those are usually very easy to scratch, it's not tempered glass.

  • +1

I have ordered a phantom silver S21 Ultra (not customised) on 24th Sep and still haven't received it! What's the best and quickest way to put complaints against Samsung?

    • Not even sure that it's Samsung's fault but I might be wrong, I thought that it was StarTrack.

      • +2

I called star track and they said Samsung hasn't booked anything with us. I called back Samsung and once I mentioned that, they said they would investigate internally! They never came back to me though…

        • +1

Same situation, ordered on 23rd September, still waiting for their investigation…

          • @KB57: Did you get any update?

            • @ronitdias: Called again today, no update yet 😏

              • +1

@KB57: I also went through live chat today and had no update….It's been almost 1 month. Absolutely nuts…

Edit: Seems it is StarTrack according to be person below, not Samsung…

                • +1

@BrewerHaHa: After 18 glorious days and 7 follow-up calls and emails, my order has finally been picked up by Startrack.

                  • @ronitdias: Lucky you guys, nice!! I'm still waiting and today I thought about asking for a refund but hopefully it comes soon and I stop being salty

        • +1

Finally received the delivery SMS from StarTrack. Fingers crossed it should be delivered tomorrow 🤞

          • +2

@KB57: I got the same msg too. Fingers crossed! I won't believe it though until I hold the phone in my own hand ;)

      • +1

At this point after multiple calls to Samsung, its definitely Startrack, they haven't been picking up the parcels from Samsung's warehouse. I've been told the same thing every time, Samsung's Logistics team have been sending follow-ups to Startrack and they haven't been responding at all.

  • Has anyone being charged trade in value yet? And maybe the $60 admin fee

    • +2

Haven't been charged yet, but have gotten an email giving me final 48hrs to return the trade-in phone, else they will deduct trade-in amount. No mention of the admin fee in that email. Got that email day before yesterday. Will update as soon as I get charged.

    • +1

I got the 2nd email from Asurion giving me another 7 days to return otherwise up to $40 may be charged ($40 is my trade-in value).
No indication of charging the $60 admin fee nor $500

      • +1

Received final email notice. Put the exact amount of my trade in

"As previously communicated, we are yet to receive your original device which was required to be returned as part of your Samsung Trade-Up order.

Please ensure you return your device within the next 48 hours, otherwise you will be charged a non-return fee of $175 to your nominated credit card.

If you've recently returned your device please ignore this email."

        • I emailed them and said im not going to return it. They responded its fine. They have a standard email they send back when you send them an email saying your not returning it
"Thanks for your query, if you wish to not return your old device you will be charged the full trade-in credit (the amount you got offered for your old device). After this it will no longer be a requirement to return your old device to us. We hope that this information has been helpful.

Unfortunately, we do not have the exact time frame of when you will be charged, this is an automated process, and the charge should occur after 14 days has passed since you were sent your return label. To make the process as easy as possible please keep the funds available in your account.

Any bonus credit/vouchers will remain as it is. You may receive some reminder emails about returning your old device which you can ignore if you’re planning to keep that device. Any bonus credit will remain as it is."

    • +6

Already been charge. Phone value only and no $60 admin.

  • +4

Anyone who has been worrying about the admin fee: I got charged just the phone value ($20) by Asurian today. :)

    • +2

Same here. No admin fee. Final cost of S21 about $400. Great value!

  • Hi guys,
Do you notice that the four codes ODS, CDS, EDS and MA1 can't stack all together any more?
We can stack up to 02 codes together now. Either ODS or CDS or EDS can be stacked with MA1.
Please correct me if I'm wrong.

    • Has anybody been able to stack more than 2 codes?

  • Ordered s21ultra phantom brown colour on the 27th Nov, and the status has not changed. I do understand it says may take 3-4 weeks.
Does anyone have their custom colour delivered?

    • If you mean 27th Sept, I also ordered a Phantom Brown Ultra on the same date, and it's just been shipped today to arrive tomorrow. Guess yours will be sent out soon?

      • Wow.. good on you!!
The status on my order has not change since I ordered.

        • Ordered brown on 25th September, arrived today 21st Oct.
Progress on samsung site never changed. Then on 19th received an email saying preparing to dispatch.

  • +4

A miracle just happened as they have just posted my s21+ a month after I ordered it!

  • Anyone been charged the trade in amount yet?

    • Yes i have 2days ago ..just the trade up value of phone..no $60 admin fee

    • Yep, happened yesterday - got charged just the $30 trade in value only

      • Just checked, I got charged mine too.

  • Just to confirm is it 24 months warranty on mobile phone? Thanks!

    • Booklet with phone states warranty is 2 years. Purchased with ANZ Black card which grants an additional 1 year for me.

Watch out for Samsung being sneaky with warranty by stating that it starts at "purchase date" for phones with delayed shipping, I'm sure it's a battle they'd lose under Australian Consumer Law

  • +1

Just got charged the trade in amount ($70).

    • Same, trade in amount, not the extra $60 fees.

  • Finally received the black Galaxy s21 plus I ordered on the 21/9 today, one month and one day after ordering "next business day delivery" and after many calls, emails, misinformation and hassle. Although I spoke with some nice sympathetic Samsung representatives it seemed they were almost powerless to help their customers and had little or wrong information available to them. I came very close to making a complaint with NSW Department of Fair Trading.

Samsung; if you are listening, you need to overhaul your customer service attitude and empower your agents to help your customers. Your logistics are terrible and your supply chain is chaotic. Please do better.

    • +1

Damn dude I was in the same boat. But according to someone above this issue was mainly with star track, not with Samsung.

  • +2

i got my new s21 weeks ago and yet i haven't recieved a email from asurion should i follow up?

  • DoesTrade up requires copy of drivers license now?

  • Anyone in the same boat?

In Sydney ordered S21+ on 17/9, held up by Startrack for weeks. After many phone calls and emails, where Samsung just said to keep waiting, Samsung finally intiated recall on 24/10 but will only resend late November.
Two and a half months for a phone that was meant to be express delivery! Would opt for refund but I've already bought non-refundable third party accessories.

I know it was Startracks fault with the initial delivery but Samsung have been really shitty to deal with.

  • +1

Same boat. In Melbourne ordered on 28/09, held up by Startrack since 21/10… so I can get Samsung to initiate the recall tomorrow!? haha

  • still no email from Asurion for my trade-in after 6 weeks? I'm home free!!!
