    Yesterday I posted that I got an email from asurion saying it was time to return the old phone and that I had 7 days or there would be a "late fee". So I replied saying I'd decided to keep the old phone and asking for instrcutions on how to pay back the trade-up value. They got back to me today with a similar email to what others are reporting. It confirms the bonuses from Samsung are unaffected:

    "Thanks for your query, if you wish to not return your old device you will be charged the full trade-in credit (the amount you got offered for your old device). After this it will no longer be a requirement to return your old device to us. We hope that this information has been helpful.
    Unfortunately, we do not have the exact time frame of when you will be charged, this is an automated process, and the charge should occur after 14 days has passed since you were sent your return label. To make the process as easy as possible please keep the funds available in your account.

      You get these codes from the support chat not the general chat… need a Broken (or prove it is broken) S20 or above for CDS ($200) or broken or non working any samsung phone for ODS code

    I think the other models are too large for me although the ultra 512gb looks crazy with 16gb ram. That's a phone for life lol.

      S21 256gb is about $559 with non return fee and $5 trade in. I might get it for $499 in the end if no fee.

      Yes no headphone jack. Get an external DAC, cheap dongle or fancy Shanling UA2 or similar.

      Get 256gb minimum. At least for resale value.

    Here is my quick story of buying a S21 plus 128GB then getting refund.
    This should help others if they have a change of mind. Friend told me about the deal and it seemed too good to be true so I got on board and was going to be paying $599 in total without trading in my S20FE, <—- that's the issue, the plus never seemed like a real upgrade, more a x grade and lack of sd card made me wonder why I bought it.
    So with in 6 hours of purchase I decided to email support and ask them to cancel, then rang them next day only to be told they could not cancel the order.
    The item was in no way showing shipped and was not even in the system for 12 hours or so. When the CS agent told me this I simply hung up. Decided to use chat instead, posted my order number to be cancelled and all my chat sessions were getting closed without any rep. 3 times this happened so I decided to call again this time being specific about the carrier and Victoria's strike plus lock down measures.
    The agent went above and beyond as he stated he would be emailing head office to ensure a cancellation, said it ciould be 24 hours turn around before I got a response. 30 mins later had email confirmation order was cancelled, 2 hours later full refund.

    So for all those who do want a refund, please ask for the matter to be escalated rather than just be told it cannot be cancelled.
    Samsung has removed the ability to cancel the order on your own account, you have to be diligent and you will get a positive outcome.

    Phone isn't a bad phone, just too soon for me to upgrade, even though I thought about selling it on, just not worth the time and effort. The camera is what was the deal breaker, even though it can do 8K 30 FPS, it just isn't worth the investment, especially when I got my 20FE for $90 per month with 150 GB data only on 1 year contract.
    $1080 in total so spending another $600 for a phone that was barely an upgrade, yeah well you all know the story.

    I'll wait to see what the S22 is like, even though I have it's nothing special. Rumor of 200 MP sensor.

    I know I won't be able to do this but I am just wondering what the new historical low is for the base S21 models.. This is for both the 128gb and 256gb.

    Personally the plus and ultra model is a bit too large for my hands lol.

        I got the S21 128gb earlier today for $299 using the $50 newsletter, $100 EDS and $100 ODS, and reading through the thread I think a lot of other people did too.

        Some people were also able to stack the $200 CDS that you get if you have a broken S20 so that brings it down to $99 (if you don't include the trade-in value).

          Yeah I didn't include the extra codes as they were sometimes harder to get or specialised, and many missed out on stock because of it (ie colour and model they wanted). Technically $99 is the historical low if you include every combination.

    Ordered on 24th, Order status is still showing Preparing for Dispatch, but I got an email yesterday with a Startrack number, saying that this package will be delayed by 7-10 days. Tracked the number and there is no update cause the package is not scanned yet. Dunno if the Order Page is slow or if the Tracking Number is not updated yet. When I had a LiveChat with Samsung yesterday, they said there are major delay and only kept apologising for the trouble. Any ways to get around this apart from just wait? I'm in Melbourne.

        What did your tracking number look like? The tracking number that I got in the 7-10 day delay email isn't an official Startrack number. Startrack Numbers are alpha-numeric and 14 characters long and all I got was a 10 digit number.
