    • Mine is stuck as processing.

    • Same here. I've contacted Samsung today and they said the customized phone orders take 4-5 weeks to make and be delivered in a normal circumstance. However, due to limited stocks (global demand), this region is experiencing delays in receiving the customized phones from the HQ. The reason for delays. The new expected time is within 6-7 weeks.

  • Anyone know if StarTrack deliver on the weekends?

I’m in Melbourne, want my phone before Monday dammit lol

I think depends on the contractor. I have had many different couriers arrive on Sat or Sun.

    • sat only not sunday

After scanning through the comments it looks like the cheapest S21 Ultra 16gb ram 512gb was ozbargained for $1199 + trade in value or - no phone returned fee of $60 or thereabouts.

    Not bad.

Sub $1300 AUD delivered for a snapdragon 888+ phone with 16gb ram and 512gb internal storage is the price to beat.

Feel free to comment your final price achieved below for the same S21 Ultra 16gb ram 512gb phone below.

    • Got the Samsung S21 Ultra 512GB for $699 … or $899 after I get charged the trade-in value of $200 for not sending my phone back.

      • Not bad so about $900 for a top of the range Snapdragon 888+ chipset and 16gb of ram.

I saw some benchmarks of the S21 vs some powerful gaming phones and the S21 did pretty good albeit the cpu throttling on the phone was present but against some current gaming phone titans it held its own.

I watched it to confirm my choice of getting the ZTE Red Magic 6S Pro.. I think the Red Magic phone used in that video was a lesser variant.

Yeah avoid the ROG 5 and Legion Duel 2.. as they have structure integrity issues due to the soft plastic spots in the case that can bend and break if put enough pressure on it.

Basically full metal cases for the win because no antennae weak spots due to the antennae needing plastic for better reception over metal.

I paid $1158.00 for my ZTE Red Magic 6S Pro.

I could wait and let it drop maybe a few hundred dollars maybe by christmas but my current phone is starting to scare me with freezes and slowdowns so getting a redundancy phone now asap and might as well get something nice to treat myself through this lockdown and work commute.

        • Its not 888+ though, its Exynos 2100.

    • Is the S21 series being sold through this the SD one or the Exynos one? I've read many reports that all Samsung outside the US is Exynos.

  • Does anyone know if StarTrack require a signature, or will they just leave it?

    • Don't need a signature but they won't just leave it randomly

They will drop to your nearest post office

  • Anyone got charged for trade up not returning the phone?

    • +1

      Not yet

    • Nope

    • Not yet. It's been over couple of weeks already

    • One of the reply in the past week said they were charged without the $60 processing fees.

  • How many here have been waiting for 10+ days for the phone to even leave Samsung's warehouse? I placed the order on 25th, I got a tracking number in the most random way, which was through my AusPost app. I spoke to Samsung rep over the phone and they said the phone has left the warehouse and its with Startrack. But when I emailed Startrack they said they haven't received the any package with that tracking number. Many people have said they received SMS notifications from Startrack, but I didn't get any. Apart from the 7-10 days delayed email, nothing else showed up. At this rate I'm not sure if I would even receive the phone by next week.

    • +1

Lodge an enquiry with AusPost/Startrack. It's going to take another week to get to you but at least you will get someone looking into it.

    • Things are ridiculous at the moment. I ordered mine on 18 Sep, still hasn't received it yet. Some delays somewhere in the Auspost/StarTrack chain.

      • Damn, that's bad. I see people here that received phones in Melbourne / SA relatively quickly which makes me wonder if they got lucky or if Samsung's dispatch team is really inconsistent. What's the status on your tracking info?

        • Its stuck somewhere in the local Auspost warehouse. I think it was somehow handed over to Auspost, then got stuck behind the pile of parcels waiting to be picked up by the drivers.

    • Both my order and my housemate's both are stuck at "Ready for processing | It's either waiting to be picked up from the sender or ready for sorting at our facility".

I'm phoneless at the moment too, so this delay is really frustrating…

    • Ordered on the 22nd, still not here or have any idea where it is. Mate of mine that lives down the street ordered an identical phone on the 24th, and his was delivered yesterday. Short end of the stick I guess haha

    • Issues with Auspost at the moment. I've had a different delivery (not a phone) sent from Sydney on the 28th sept stuck at a "MELBOURNE NORTH VIC" facility since 29th sept. Got an update on the auspost app saying "Delayed - waiting to be processed for delivery" on Oct 2nd. I've lodged an enquiry today, let's see what happens. This was supposed to be "express post".

    • I made my order on the 23rd Sep and still waiting. Got a tracking number but like everyone else it's stuck at "Ready for processing | It's either waiting to be picked up from the sender or ready for sorting at our facility". Guess it's a waiting game. At least our orders didn't get cancelled

    • So an update and this is getting frustrating at this point, I called Startrack and emailed them both occasion they have said that "Ready for processing | It's either waiting to be picked up from the sender or ready for sorting at our facility" status means that only a shipping label has been created but the product has not been dispatched by the seller and it is fact still sitting in their warehouse. This is huge contrast with Samsung who say that Startrack have the package and haven't updated the tracking from their end. I'm sure how to escalate this with Samsung apart from calling customer support, who keep cutting my call and where the Live Chat also never goes through. Any further ideas will be appreciated.

      • Mine had ready for processing up from the 22nd up till tuesday afternoon, when finally it was picked up, of which it then took a single day to come from sydney to my doorstep. Very frustrating, seems like luck of the draw when startrack pick it up but as soon as they do it its smooth sailing from there (in my experience)

  • Ordered on 24th and received it yesterday.

My S21+ order placed on the 23/09 has FINALLY been collected by StarTrack.

Placed an order for S21 Ultra 128G navy on 27 Sep and still haven't shipped. Contacted Samsung today and they said: Customized phone orders takes 4-5 weeks to make and be delivered in a normal circumstance. However, due to limited stocks (global demand), this region is experiencing delays on receiving the customized phones from the HQ. The the reason for delays. The new expected tiem is within 6-7 weeks.
    It's a joke!!!

Did you miss the blue, bolded and hard to miss disclaimer on the order page?

Only available at Samsung Online Store with no extra charge. Select the colour of the back of your phone. Due to global shortages, please allow 6 to 7 weeks for customised colour delivery⁵

    • +1

Yeah - this was clearly stated when ordering the custom colours but to give you hope; I ordered knowing it was expected to be 6-7 weeks and it has shipped today after 3 weeks.

  • Ordered the S21 Ultra 256 on 29th Sep, received it today. Was in "Dispatched" status on Samsung order tracker. Called customer service yesterday who gave me the Startrack tracking id and said I have to wait for the courier to pick it up from warehouse. Couple of hours later, got an SMS confirming today's delivery date.

‘Android Authority has confirmed that the base 128GB Galaxy S21 costs an estimated $399.50 (USD) to manufacture.’
Majority of us who bought from this deal seem to have gotten it for cheaper than the manufacturing cost so I’m really curious as to the economics behind Samsung’s Promotion

    • I really think the impact of these deals is for ozbers or similar rather than the general public who just go into carrier store and buy, pay rrp (crazy, I know), corporates who effectively buy fleets.

Samsung can unload a few under costs, esp if news is to be believed that sales haven't gone well as they planned and serious rumours about s22 are already out. Rather get cost then stuck in warehouses.

    • That could of been an estimated cost at the time of pre-launch. And likely fluctuates - with corporate estimations that it drops significantly following launch. Manufacturing costs are never set and forget and contract, supply and logistic cost changes occur at any given time.

    • Yeah it's a smart way of Samsung to drop the price but not really publicly. If you go to the website the price looks a little discounted but if everyone saw it for $500 and a lot of people already bought it for $1000+ it would be crazy

  • I haven't been contacted by Asurion about the collection of my old phone and it's been about a week since I got my new phone. Fingers crossed I get to keep both the S21 and my old phone…

EDIT: Looks like Samsung's systems are broken, they still think my phone is with the courier! Haha!

For those who ordered custom colours my phantom brown s21 ultra was shipped yesterday due for delivery tomorrow - ordered 17/09

    • I ordered phantom titanium S21U on 18/09. Still at customising stage. Due to arrive on 9/10. Guess will be a few days late.

      • Mine was showing customising and then suddenly I got SMS from star track - it bypassed all other stages and went straight to being posted and on way from the customising stage

If you haven't already download the Australia Post app and login with the email you provided samsung, it might already be showing as preparing for delivery as mine was always due 08/10 from day 1 and they got it right

        • I ordered S21U Phantom Brown 512GB on the same date on 17/09, still show customising on Samsung order tracking page, it says delivery on 8/10, but already 10/10 and still no news at all. Check on Aus Post app also show nothing, guess I'm on the short end of straw as well like the others.

        • May I know if you received your phone yet? I just chat with samsung support, they told me my order still within the timeframe 6-8 weeks waiting time :(
I ordered the same S21U Phantom Brown on the same day 17/09. Should've gone with the normal color, the wait is too long…

          • @r4ndomstrang3r: I have received mine on 11/10. Due on 9/10 so it's just one working day late. The tracking status on Samsung website is definitely a mess. The track number from Startrack is accurate in my experience but I only received that on 8/10.

            • @pkmx1: Thank you for the reply. Just got mine today, finally :)
Btw, was thinking to not return my trade-in note 10+, but i got email today saying that I will get a late return charge if not return it within 7 days. Any advice? Thx.

  • I ordered customised Gold S21+ on 22 Sep, the status still "customising"

  • +1

Still not received, original order went in on the 21/09. Samsung were very quick to take my money.

Rang today and they say that the courier attempted delivery on the 1/10, there was no knock, text or phone call and that's not the tracking number says :

    Ready for processing
It's either waiting to be picked up from the sender or ready for sorting at our facility.

The Samsung agent says he's sending an email to the courier company and expect delivery to now occur in the first half of next week.

Is anyone else having a bad experience and getting the run around?

    • +1

I ordered 23rd and I'm still waiting. Hasn't moved since 29th. Not sure why it's taking so damn long but I am looking forward to getting buds as well.

    • I ordered on the 21/09 also. Got the 'delayed delivery' email and Startrack tracking said due 30/09. That date came and went with the parcel never moving past 'Ready for processing'. I rang Samsung a few times last week, they just kept saying they would investigate and get back to me. One customer service agent slipped out that a bunch came back to the warehouse, so maybe mine is one of those.

The most frustrating thing is that they keep saying they will investigate and let me know, but Samsung hasn't contacted me once.

My tracking info says the same as yours:

      • Special edition or normal? I order on 17 Sep still no news

        • Standard black, still waiting

        • Standard silver/white (?), not the special order one.

  • Returned my device to Asurion but got charged as my device didn't meet the requirements(screen burn) so I'm going to try to get my phone back

    • Did they charge you an admin fee as well?

  • Trade up phone dropped off at AusPost Monday last week. Auspost tracking states it has now been delivered (as of yesterday). Recieved another email from Asurion stating that if I don't return my original device in 48 hours I will be charged $105.

I replied requesting confirmation that I wouldn't be charged given the delivery status, and their only response was to mention the delays in logistics and tell me "Please note that if you were charged before we got your device, the refund will be processed to reflect on the same mode of charge within 7 business days."

No confirmation of the device being recieved or anything.

Not sure where to go with this other than to thrraten a charge back if they try charge me…

    • Their message to you says if that happens the will fix in 7 days? Sounds quicker than a chargeback.

  • +1

Ordered a standard S21 on Sept 22nd and it still hasn't arrived, tracking info says "Shipping information received by Australia Post" and that's all. Support doesn't reply.
Has anyone else had any luck talking to support to speed up delivery?

17 days doesn't feel very express for express delivery..

  • Just received my order for the ultra. I've received an email asking for the trade to be sent back. Do we just ignore the emails? Or tell them its not going back?

    • +4

Ignore. You will receive 2 emails, after which they will deduct the trade in value of the device you did not send back.

      • Awesome. Thank you!

  • Hey guys. Does anyone have any suggestions of where to buy the pen that goes along with the ultra?

  • +1

So its been 2 weeks since I received my S21… but no email from Samsung or Asurion asking for the trade in yet… so I can just keep my iPhone 7 then? haha

    • +1

      Same here.

I got my S21 Ultra delivered by their fancy StarTrack Same-Day Courier service directly from their warehouse to my door (albeit two business days after ordering). My suspicion is that they haven't integrated the tracking statuses for this service properly into their dogshit online store's order management system and they probably still think it's in transit!

      • I think you are probably right. The same day the phone got delivered I received an email from Samsung saying it would be 7-10 business days late lol.

  • +9

Just got charge for not sending my phone back and can confirm its only the value of the phone and no extra charges.

    • Did you reply to their email that you are not sending the device?

      • +3

I did, but no need as they said in the email just don't send the phone and ignore the email reminders.

        • Thanks.👍👍

Ordered S21 Ultra 5G 256GB in Phantom Titanium on 17 Sep, shipped on 8 Oct and received today

    • I ordered the same color on Sep 26th but so far still processing with ETA Oct 17th. When did you get the first update from them?

      • I got an update on the 22nd Sep saying they were making it.. Then nothing until the 8th when it was dispatched

        • I doubt I will be as lucky as you, maybe i gonna wait for full 6 or 7 weeks :( still processing as of today.
