      • How long did it take you get $200 CDS code once you email samsung? I have been waiting since Thursday.

        • You'll need to chat to an agent to request for this. They confirm the photos you've sent by email over the chat and give it to you once it's been confirmed

Finally got all the codes. Now there’s no stock, d’oh!

    • if you dont end up using them let me know ;) lol

    • Did you get a CDS voucher as well?

      • I've got ODS, EDS and newsletter. Trade in is $200 and for the standard 128GB S21 the total comes to $99.

  • How long before stock is expected and the $500 trade in ends on the 30th Sept right?

I have a $100 code sent to me by @yygsdragon that I no longer require, as I eventually received mine. First in best dressed!

    • I had the same update but shipping information received on Sat 25 Sep. Delivery estimated on 28 Sep.

It looks like StarTrack hasn't even picked up the phone, yet. I won't be surprised if they missed the delivery date.

Just got a 256GB Ultra for $799, what a bargain! Thanks to everyone who posted before me.

Summary of codes used, hope it helps someone.

    1. Newsletter Signup - MA code - sign up via banner at the bottom of the page. Had to email [email protected] as I never got the email, saying I wanted to buy today. Got the code in an hour.

    2. Chat Code - EDS code - via green circle at the bottom of the page. Long wait for an agent but got a code immediately. Mentioned I wanted to upgrade my broken Samsung and could they help lower the price.

    3. Loyalty voucher - CDS code - via email to [email protected] (photo of broken phone, front with IMEI and back). Had a response immediately after asking for an update as I wanted to buy today via the Contact Us chat. As others have mentioned, got $200 for the S20. Could've gotten another $100 voucher for my S10 but it was used for the trade in instead.

    • Hey Brother. Did you get a photo online or just unlucky and had a broken Sammy?

Just trying to get a 200 code and stressin cos all nearly sold out 🤣🤣🤣

      • Unfortunately (fortunately?) just had a broken one, so that probably doesn't help you…
I feel for you, the chat agent told me they're almost out of stock too! The positive is they seem to be really quick if you follow up via chat.

        • Ah all good mate cheers for response

          Sigh lol 😂

If you have a spare $200 code my chat is open

          I have spare gift card😎😉

    • How long is the wait for Chat Code - EDS code

      • Once you get through to an agent, 3 - 5 mins, but it took me 2 hrs to get through to one. YMMV

        • I've waiting for half an hour

    • Hi supersour,

I am completely new to this upgrade 'game', could you tell me which website I go to to get the chat code and what is Loyalty voucher….

      Thank you

      • +2

Chat code is from the link in the post. A chat icon should come up in the bottom right of the page, it looks like this.

Loyalty vouchers are given for older damaged Samsung phones, to buy a new one. You can ask for more details and request one here.

        • Thank you supersour, will see how I go

  • Does anyone have any more codes pretty please

    • i got one $50 code let me know if you still need it

      • yes please that would be awesome thanks

  • ordered on the 20th, online chat cant give me a tracking number, told to ring. line is busy and they told me to ring later or email….
my order profile says its Dispatched but it said that on thursaday last week….

looks like orders are falling through the cracks….

    • Last Thursday? Do you mean 16th or 23th?

      • I ordered on the 20th (first line) so how is the 16th an option?

        • OK. Do you get an update tonight? If not, when you call tomorrow, use the SMS link to go through the menu on your phone, it will put you to a person quickly. (If you press 9 and then 4, it will tell you to call back later.)

          • @bobokingdom: thanks bobokingdom but I havent got the SMS yet. only the crappy email everyone else is getting

    • Still waiting for mine as well, ordered 18th. Got tracking number after calling them, status was only updated on Saturday afternoon to "Being packed by sender" with no changes today.

Funny thing is I ordered another phone on the same day for the wife which arrived Wednesday.

      • Yea, my order on the 18th still hasn't come, while the order on the 19th already arrived last week. Samsung pick and pack must be a complete mess right now.

    • Just received this email:

Thank you for your recent purchase from Samsung Electronics Australia (Reference No.*****).

What a joke. 7-10 business days from the dispatch day or from today, I wonder?

If it's from today, that would make it 23 calendar days from the order date on 18 Sep.

      • Got the same email

        • yeah got that email. so 7-10 days is weds to friday… somehow I dont see that happerning but hope it does

          • @chippy: That's assuming they don't mean an extra 7-10 business days from today…

            • @MrRe: that did cross my mind but I dont want to think about it…

              • +1

@chippy: Just got my SMS that mine should arrive tomorrow despite the email

  • Would any kind soul share a spare newsletter code? I tried 4 different emails last night and I'm still not getting the elusive code

    • Just posted!

      • Dang, missed it, thanks for your generosity though :D

Thanks lonelyhearts, I've been trying for a couple of days now to get a $50 code. Just picked up an Ultra S21 512GB for $1179 after discounts and trade in. Will update once the phone arrives.

      • Cheers mate 🤙

        • Just received a star track SMS that mobile will be arriving tomorrow. Let's see if it turns up.

          • @comeng86: Phone delivered @ 21:11! Startrack delivery driver was very apologetic for the lateness of the delivery but I was shocked that something would be delivered that late!

  • Hi if anyone please has a spare newsletter code please let me know :) will pay it back when i get mine via email.

  • +1

Ordered S21+ 256GB Black on 22nd, got an SMS from Startrack 14:01 today with the link to the tracking detail. The expected delivery date is tomorrow. Sydney region.

    • Ordered same day with you, but showing “we can’t find your tracking number” on website of Startrack.

      • +1

I ordered at 00:37am so there might be a slight difference? I also got the "We regret to inform you" email but it came 1.5 hr after the sms.

        • Thanks buddy, that might be the reason,I ordered around 4:00PM. No “regret” email came through so far, but maybe I’ll receive that later.

  • Has anyone used the same phone for trade-in and to get the $100/200 cracked phone chat voucher? Unsure if they will prevent my order from going through since they will know my phone does not qualify for trade-in.

    • +1

I think some people have already received their phones before trading in anything. Apparently an email comes later with the trade-in details.

    • +1

I do not think they have a process to verify as pple have used same IMEI number to get multiple $200 vouchers…that too by sharing the photos..

  • ordered Saturday 25th sep, saying dispatched now. but who knows when I will get a tracking link after hearing about the StarTrack delays above.

    • Which one did you order? I also ordered on 25th but haven't gotten the dispatch notification.

      • Hi! s21 ultra 256. got it super quick. ordered Saturday 11.30am. in my hands at 8.30pm Monday right.

  • -1

I’ve received same email advising phones are 7 to 10 business days away.

Have replied requesting cancellation of both orders

    What a joke

    • Got the same email today, then an sms saying phone will be delivered tomorrow a couple hours later!

      • +1

Haha I got the sms too for tomorrow delivery

        • Let us know if it turns up today!

        • Me too let's hope it comes today.

          • @Iamacheapo: I had one come in yesterday. Seems like samsung themselves are slow, not start track..

  • Is there a way to not download the app for it to determine the trade in value? I don't have a tradin phone but I would like to get the offer. I am happy to pay back trade in offer price back.

    • no

    • +2

You can determine the trade value of any eligible phone. It's on the website where you put in a phone, then you can check to see what the value is when the sliders are according to the condition of said phone.
You still need an eligible phone to proceed with the trade in offer, it uses the IME to create a key which you can then proceed online or in store with the transaction.
You still need a phone, that's the condition right there, whether you decide to send it in or not is another thing.

  • +2

So with all the ridiculous delays. Can i send them an email saying that due to covid19 there will be a delay in me returning my trade in device to them? Between 7 days and never.

  • Hi guys,

How's the Samsung.com.au refund process? I've seen at various places that they are totally chaotic with the refunds, but as long as they give me a refund in a reasonable time period I don't mind (I don't need a refund the next day).

I bought a S21 Ultra… and then I ended up getting a $200 code due to some damage to my S20+ (thanks to whoever posted that above), so I bought a second Ultra with that code (and also got the half price Buds 2). The first Ultra I ordered hasn't been shipped yet (I got the same Startrack email as above, so who knows when I will get the phone).

Do I have to wait for Samsung to ship the phone to me before I send it back to them - and if so, should I just reject delivery rather than accept and then send back? Or can I call them now and get the order cancelled now?

Also, I have to email Asurion separately if I do end up refunding the phone, correct - since I obviously won't be trading in the relevant phone for the first order if I do refund the first Ultra?

    Thanks in advance.

    • Just do not accept the delivery and it will be sent back to Samsung. Then request for a refund over yhe phone which can take few weeks.

    • If it has not been shipped yet then you should contact Samsung saying that you don’t want the first order anymore. They should sort out everything with Asurion when the order is cancelled. Be sure to include the order number so they don’t cancel the wrong number.

  • +1

So I get an email to say up to 10 business day delay
I reply back requesting full refund

30 minutes later I get sms from Star Track to say it’s already in my state (WA) and delivery tomorrow

    What. A. Mess.

… and before the Samsung defenders jump in to say it’s COVID etc, all other companies in similar position (ie Apple) seem to be doing just fine in the exact same time period (last week)

    • When did you buy the phone? I just got the same email today and I bought mine last week 21st. Hoping I get the bloody thing this week. Just got the phone case with a missing phone

      • Purchased 17th

      • everydollacounts I ordered same date as you (21st, Ultra 5G 512) and got the 7-10 business days delay email from Samsung today (27th)

  • +11

An update on the Trade-up process with Asurion i.e. when you do not wish to return your old phone.

"…if you wish to not return your old device you will be charged the full trade-in credit (the amount you got offered for your old device). After this it will no longer be a requirement to return your old device to us.
Unfortunately, we do not have the exact time frame of when you will be charged, this is an automated process, and the charge should occur after 14 days has passed since you were sent your return label.
Any bonus credit/vouchers will remain as it is. You may receive some reminder emails about returning your old device which you can ignore if you’re planning to keep that device. Any bonus credit will remain as it is."

    Hope this helps.

    • Great news, thanks for the update

      • +1

thanks, but I thought that's always been the case?

    • Thanks, where did you get this information from? When I applied the trade up code, it mentioned the following just now

You will be provided with prepaid return packaging materials to allow for the safe provision of your Existing Handset to us. You must ensure that the hand-set is provided to us within 7 days of receiving your New Handset. Failure to provide your Existing Handset within this time period will mean that you will be required to return your New Handset to us or pay back the discount you received on your New Handset. Please ensure that you back up any photos, files and other data which you have stored on the Existing Handset, and remove the sim card and memory cards before providing the Existing Handset to us.

      • Source?

If that's a copy paste looks dodgy af

Handset spelt differently through out the text

Handset is also never a word used with Samsung AU

Edit: found similar text on Samsung HK

      • +6

I wrote to [email protected] informing them that I will not be returning the device and that is the reply I got from them.
