  • "Table for 20 is a unique 'guerilla-dining' concept that you will simply fall for "

"Fall for" is a good way to put it. $70 to be forced to share a table (and your god damn FOOD) with a bunch of strangers at a restaurant whose reputation is irrelevant because they only exist for a few weeks at a time at most then move to a new location with a new identity? Nice one… you nearly had me there.

      Hi Nick

No-ones trying to have you on. There is no need to be so sceptical & cynical particularly when you have not done your research!

Table for 20 have actually been running for 5 years now and we have had them on our guide for a year with nothing but rave reviews from our members who have been. You may again be sceptical about the reviews on our site but I can assure you they are all from genuine members and only those that have been have the ability to rate the experience. If you take a look at other sites Table for 20 also receives great reviews and ratings. 4.5/5 on Trip Advisor, 4.5/5 on Yelp.com.au, 7.6/10 on Eatability, 5/5 on Urban Spoon… should I go on?

Table for 20 also operate out of a building owned by the 'Hope Street' charity and are regular supporters of Hope Street helping disenfranchised members of our community - these guys are a great asset to the Sydney Community and are an honest lovable bunch of people.

I hope you can see why I feel it was very uncalled for to bad-mouth some genuinely good folks who put on a fantastic dinner evening. If you are not the social kind and do not like getting to know new and interesting people then maybe the dining-concept is not for you. But I can definitely say that they host a great enjoyable evening.

      • I agree with daisty. Table for 20 have been around for a while and have quite a good reputation in the foodie community. Its not meant to be be your regular restaurant. If you want to be a bit different then this would be the place to go!

Nicely put. But yeah, probably not the kind of social setting for keyboard warriors.

    • I didn't realise you share your food? Is the food served in communal bowls and you self serve? Or is it just that you sit next to strangers? Can anyone explain?

  • Could you please show that this is Surrey Hills in NSW please? There is a Surrey Hills in Vic as well.

    • It's Surry Hills, not Surrey Hills.
