  • Tempted, been keen for BF3 and MW3 in 3D

  • I'm tempted too, but I've got a 3D TV that I don't use nearly enough.

  • 23" is too small for 3d imo. Playing on a 55" and I still complain about how crappy it is.

  • Hi,
When it says with speakers do you mean in built speakers or separate speakers?

    • +1

You had me checking that one, since I can't say I remember speakers on them. It looks to be a mistake.

Our marketing people I think have assumed internal speakers given specs on ASUS site "AV Audio Input : HDMI". At a quick look I can't see obvious speakers or sound controls on them so I am going to assume not and modified the post according.

I suspect few people would use built in speakers with this sort of monitor hence the mistake hasn't been picked up previously.

  • Hi Rep, any chance you could do a deal on the Asus 27" VG278H?

    • Sorry, no. Not selling the 27" model in volume at thsi time and in fact have zero stock right now. Can order one in on request at advertising pricing.

  • Very good deal, however I'm being charged $15 for delivery, and I'd hardly consider the center of Newcastle to be a "remote location". Is this delivery charge incorrect? If not, perhaps the title of this deal should be changed to something like "free freight to capital cities only".

    • Nevermind. I've just noticed the note on the Computer Alliance product page stating "The $15 delivery charge will be deducted from your order before dispatch". I've placed my order. Now, the waiting game…

      • Yes, sorry about that. Technical reason why the shopping basket will add in the minimum fee for all shipping orders. Sales chaps will remove it when ordering via that link before you are charged.

Our new site, in testing, doesn't have any such limit.

  • That was a good deal. I hope it's repeated because I will want a new monitor when I upgrade. Mwave was selling this last week for $287 but I missed that one too.
