What Is The Cheapest nbn Plan Right Now (25/5 or above)

I am looking for a new NBN plan (FTTC, BYO router) and cheapest one I could find is FlipTV which is 25/5 for $44/Month
I have already used Tangerine 6 months deal and ABB 1 month deal recently. So, it should be exclusive of those ISP.
Is there a better deal out there ? it is ok even it is a promo for few months.

Aqua Mobile are also $44/mo, but for 9 months. That's the best ongoing rate. Although there are various free months, satisfaction guarantees, and referral bonuses if you don't mind changing often.

There's also Felix Mobile 20/20, not 25, for $35/mo, with 50% off for the first 3 months. Felix are worth considering if you get decent Voda reception.

Cheapest isn't always the best with NBN.

The CVC is where it's at.

    • yep, but looking to save few bucks :)

how much is your time worth?

I have been on TPG, Optus, Telstra, Aussie broadband.

I have setup 4 people on AussieBB and one connection had the NBN screwing around, not turning up to appointments, turning up early but not testing the connection in the house, not providing the NTD etc and all these time spent with ABB where less (literally 10 calls), hold time less then a single optus or telstra or tpg on hold.

    • oops! sorry to hear that. I have everything in place and BYO router. I got the connection initially with the Tangerine and it was smooth. NBN guy came to connect the house to the DPU at the pit in the road and that was it.

    My Telstra Smart Modem's 4G is now 25/5. https://www.speedtest.net/result/12112223397

So if you want to completely cheap out, that's an option. I have seen some people claim that the download is unlimited, however in my experience, after 20GB, the speed drops to an almost unusable level of 0.1Mbps. It's been that slow for me for months. However when I used it today, it was close to 25/5. Before that, the maximum speed was 25/2 and before that, 6/1.

The speed cap resets occasionally, but definitely not regularly. The first time it was capped it reset after about a week, and since it happened at the start of a new month, I assumed it was a 20GB/mo limit. This was not the case, as the next time I used 20GB, the cap took several months to reset.

I'm a little reluctant to test how long the cap would take to reset a third time, but as a free backup, having 25/5 available is nice.
