    I think it's worthwhile to highlight it caps at $1000 worth of GC redemption for the bonus.

    P.s. I think this is pretty good value.

    Converting $1000 worth of flybuys points gets you $1100 in JB equivalent.

    Most value JB at 90% FV so 1100 x 90% = $990 cash value.

    By comparison this is better than redeeming for Flybuys cash which most would value at 95-97% FV, albeit much more convenient and more useful for most.

    Anyone had experience with "subject to individual merchant acceptance"?

    Apparently 'restaurants and cafés' means 'venues that have designated the merchant category code Eating Places, Restaurants or Drinking Places. The card is not valid at will not work at venues outside of these merchant category codes. Specifically the card is not valid at venues that are designated by their merchant category code as Fast food or quick service restaurants'.
    'Pub and bar' is a little less precise - 'The Pub & Bar Gift Card works on the eftpos payment platform for pubs or bars that have a merchant category code that corresponds to this industry type.'

      If you're referring to TCN's The Restaurant Gift Card, even though the Flybuys website says "can be used at restaurants* and cafes that accepts eftpo*", the gift card can only be used at participating retailers according to TCN's website: https://card.gift/pages/the-restaurant-card

      Towards the bottom of the TCN's website, it has a directory that you can search for nearby participating restaurant or cafe. But the design isn't the best as you can't just zoom out and see participating restaurants/cafe in other suburbs. The search results will only show those in that specific postcode. So it's a bit of pain have to search multiple postcodes to find such information.

    Interesting, but for a limited time only (this time ending on the 15th Oct). Personally, I prefer to use the points as FB dollars and pay less for groceries down the track. And in this case, the current 20% off for the Ultimate cards outweighs the 10% back in points using FB to buy GC. But for anyone with excessive points balance, this might help.

          What does it show when you try to check the balance online? If the expiry date is showing something like '1 Jan 0001', then it's most likely still being processed. At least that's what the support team at TCN told me from a call 30 mins ago.

    Has anyone confirmed with JB Hi-Fi if we can use this gift cards for online purchase?
    I called at 5 different places and literally got 5 different answers. Couple of them also told me that they currently only accept Gift Cards issued by JB Hi-Fi for online purchase and no other brand issued JB Hi-Fi cards will be accepted.
    Can someone please confirm if they were able to use the gift cards listed above at JB Hi-fi online within last week!

      The only type of gift cards that you can directly redeem on the JB Hi-Fi website is the gift cards issued by JB Hi-Fi.

      The gift cards in this deal are EFTPOS gift cards issued by TCN (not JB Hi-Fi). EFTPOS cannot be used for online purchases (for now) and these EFTPOS gift cards cannot be used for any online purchases, so you cannot directly redeem them on the JB Hi-Fi website.

      However, if JB Hi-Fi is a participating retailer on the particular TCN gift card you have, you can go onto the TCN website and exchange part or all of your TCN gift card balance for a digital JB Hi-Fi gift card, and then you can redeem an unlimited number of digital JB Hi-Fi gift cards on the JB Hi-Fi website. You can do this by:

      • Navigating to the relevant page for the gift card you have (e.g. HIM, HER, HOME)
      • Click on (or scroll down to) How to Use
      • From the drop-down list, select JB Hi-Fi
      • Click on the Online button to the right of the drop-down list
      • Read the instructions that pop up on the screen and click on Proceed
      • Follow the rest of the instructions!

      Please note that the Ultimate Gift Cards issued by Blackhawk Network cannot be exchanged for any digital JB Hi-Fi gift cards, so they are strictly only for in-store use.

      Was that 11:59pm Sydney time? I had a look at the terms in the post, and it states that redemptions must take place between Tue 28 Sep and Fri 15 Oct 2021 (AEDT).

      If the Online Order Summary gives a date of 15 Oct 2021 at 11:59 PM, I would argue that you made a redemption within the required timeframe.

      Do you think this will affect me to get the bonus points?

      It may in the fact that Flybuys system did not record the redemption as taking place until on or after 12:00AM on Saturday, because you placed the order so close to the end of Friday AEDT.

      Keep in mind that points will be credited in qualifying members’ accounts no later than 4 weeks after the promotion ends. However, in this case, it wouldn’t hurt to reach out to the Flybuys team sooner and ask them whether your account will eventually receive the bonus points, because your case is a bit of an unusual one. If you can point to the Online Order Summary saying you make the purchase within the required dates, I think you will be fine.

      I received my TCN gift cards bonus points on 04/11/2021 for two Flybuy accounts. I ordered my gift cards on 15/10/2021 between 6-7 pm Sydney time. But I have yet to receive either Restaurant Gift Card in the mail.

      I did notice the status of my order on Flybuys website is now Sent whereas when I last checked a few days ago it was still Processing status. However, clicking on the 'Track Shipment' gives this information: "No Updates Yet. Looks like the tracking information is not available. Please check back again later." Is it meant to show some kind of information for shipment tracking?
