    • Yeah and USB C on the back too, definitely worth thinking about if your not planning on using Ethernet

  • Lots of Lots of problems redeeming with MSI with the steam promotion.

about half go through, and the other half don't…. been short changed on the amoutn of previously promotions as well..

They claim, their is issues with the photos (when there clearly isnt').. and despite, resubmitting multiple times.. no responses..

Pretty much, don't count on the redemption…

If you get it.. its a bonus..

    • Yeah sounds about right, promos like this are always a bit questionable.

They did not ask me for any photos though, only a copy of my invoice, the serial number and check number off the board, the latter was a pain as it was already in the case and difficult to get at.

You will get rejected withoutt he photos..

I took a photo of the box and serial number on the motherboard.. they claimed the photo only, had the box, not the serial on the board..

I have resubmitted twice, with no success..

they keep on asking me to submit again..

        Previously successuly on another board..
failed on another previously.. when I sumitted the photograph of the wrong board.. (they refused to allow me to correct)

I have submitted five times now to that promo, (2 are resubmits).. with only one succesful claim…

with the previous promotion, I submitted three boards.. got paid, all three. (but short changed (aud to US) conversion..

meant to be in USD dollars and only got Aus dollars and less than expected as well..

        • Agreed - Despite uploading the correct photos I keep getting

"Redeem not qualified, Please re-upload data and redeem again.

Dear Customer, Thanks for your application. Please re-upload a clear photo of the serial# located on the product itself instead of the outer packing. Thanks! "

          Hoop jumping nonsense !

    • still waiting for mine and it has been 3 weeks, i can’t find the email address to send the chase up to , msi in general ?

what email have people used to chase up the steam credits to ?

      • Pretty much impossible to chase up..

        I pretty much gave up..

Get the first one back in less than a week..
The rest. have been ignored or refused..

Not worth the trouble.. and anger.. about being screwed over..

Login to MSI account and send a ticket asking about your submission for the Steam gift card. Somebody from MSI should respond and help you out and you should hopefully end up getting the gift card.

      • Log into your msi account - then https://account.msi.com/promotions/history (this will tell you if your redemption was successful or not) - its actually quite hard to find via site navigation

    • Mine went through pretty smoothly

Apart from taking a photo of the serial number on the box not on the board

Which they told me I took the wrong one, so took the correct photo and a day later I had my key

Took about 3 days in total

  • Multi-GPU: With Steel armor PCIe slots. Supports 2-Way AMD Crossfire™

I'd be curious how someone gets that to work considering the M version only has one x16 PCIe slot

    • in the old days, you could crossfire with the APU (internal GPU) or you can use a riser, or cut a card down to fit the pcie 1x or 4x slot..

      • +1

cut a card down to fit the pcie 1x or 4x slot..

better to use a dremel to cut the end of PCIe slot instead of cutting the GPU,

        • in the old days…

          No Dremel back then.

  • seems like a good deal
