Wife got one for this price last week, used it on the weekend, loved it.

    • How durable does the back PVC seem?

      • I bought one last year and use it every week. For $30 it is excellent.

  • What makes this better than comparatively priced ones on Amazon? Is it higher quality?

    • Link?

    • From what I've seen, this is double the size of similar priced rugs (did a quick 2 minute google search, was no way extensive)

      • Yes, 3x2m is pretty big

      • Great thanks, in that case well worth and I’ve purchased.

  • Thanks OP, was using our old picnic blanket yesterday which is on its last legs and thinking time for a new one! Perfect timing

We got this just last week, it’s such a good size for a picnic as you can really lay down and not have to worry about hanging off the smaller mats and getting grass/dirt on you. Good quality too.

    • Awesome, with the new addition we definitely need a larger size!

  • Just grabbed one, thanks op!

  • Can anyone recommend a picnic mat that has a non-absorbent side to place downwards toward wet grass ?

  • Nice one, thanks OP.

Is it going to be a big difference?
If not, I am considering to get this.

Kmart has stock at my local shopping centre, Anaconda has that at 13km away.

I just came to Kmart and the quality is not great.
      Decided to no go.

  • Thanks Op. Haven’t got one before…is it better to get a darker colour incase kids spill drinks over the blanket?

    • +1

Definitely better to get a dark color. Can't really stop kids (adults too) from spilling something on them as well as dragging dirt in. My kid just spilled apple juice on our mat earlier

No stock near me and delivery is 11.99. Not sure if I should pull the trigger with delivery…

    • Yep. Got 4.9% cash back from ShopBack which saves $2…cashrewards was 2.8%. Just waiting for it to track now. 🤞

    • We bought a few double bed "dog" blankets from the op shop: $2 each, tossed them into the car boot.
    • A piece of scrap rope from garage (if you can be bothered): $0.
    • Blankets are much larger too so there's still room to sit after getting food and drink out.
    • And we can throw it into a washing machine without tearing the PVC backing to shreds.
    • Who cares about drink stains etc. It cost $2. Use in on the weekend, wash it on Monday, throw back in car.
    • It's also great when you need to carry something dirty/large inside the car, as a windscreen shade, roof/windsreen protection when you hear there's hailstorm coming, etc.

      • Happy to share the postage if you have not ordered already.

        • I only saw your message now. I haven't ordered.

  • Stopped following the news closely awhile ago.. is the picnic freedom thing vic only or nsw too?

    • +1

We use our picnic blanket as a carpet in our tent. Works a treat! Saves on sweeping sand out. Just lift the blanket out and shake it off.

    Is this machine washable?

  • Wife was just asking about a picnic blanket today. Great timing, thank OP

No stock in the 3 Brisbane stores closest to me :(
I'll just go with the poorer quality Kmart one.

I miss the picnic rugs that use to be rubber backed. No splitting or tearing. Gone are those days

  • Aldi has something like this from time to time at 30$!

  • OOS

  • Back in stock, but the price has gone up to $34.99 for so-call club members.

  • Jerks jacked up the price

  • Anyone received their tracking number yet? I haven't received any tracking number or the confirmation email…. aside from my invoice lol.

  • Mine arrived today. This sucker is huge lol. Happy with the quality for the price paid.
    Thankyou OP.
