10 Hot & Crispy Boneless Chicken Pieces for $10 @ KFC (App Required)

3800

New deal available at KFC exclusively on the KFC App.

Note - These are smaller than a regular chicken piece, although still pretty decently sized. Seems to be the same coating used for Hot & Spicy/Zinger Fillets.

Deal is available every day until the end of the promotion which is most likely November 1st.

Update 07/10: There is currently a supply issue (They have run out of chicken) affecting stores in VIC and NSW. The deal has been temporarily removed for the affected areas/stores.

        • +1

The mcspicy is hardly hot. Asia FF as you mentioned do it a lot better.

          • +1

@Pootie Tang: Most 'spicy' food options in all the fast food chains are never actually spicy at all, lol. Peppery is a better term.

  • How long does this go for? Going to try in on the weekend.

    • +1

      2-4 weeks depending on demand.

      • So is it going to last longer if high demand? Or the other way around?

        • No. Usually, it's 4 weeks max.

  • +1

I look forward to the reviews on how big these pieces actually are.

    • +1

me too…..I'm calling they are somewhere on the small size, prob like tenders….and even tenders can vary wildly in size…..sometimes they are almost as small as nuggets!

      • think of boneless wicked wing . just got 6 deals for work

    • There are many video reviews about this item from WA and TAS. Go on youtube.

      They're small tbh

    • +2

Just got some and they are surprisingly big. More chicken than the tenders

  • i thought this one is called chicken tenders???

  • Damn I've got a menulog voucher to use and it's not updated yet

  • +2

Good dip to make for these if you are eating them at home.

    Mayo, sriracha sauce and honey.

    • Ratios?

      • Not him but after using about a 1/4 of a bottle of mayo I'll fill it up with sriracha and franks hot sauce. No honey tho, it's more versatile savoury.

    • +1

Thanks, tried this out and it was very good

      • How was 5he boneless chicken?

  • +5

I think the only reason they’re releasing a “Hot & Crispy” is because Red Rooster’s Crunchy Fried Chicken is quite good. Sadly I doubt this will be “hot” at all.

  • +3

    Video review by Tasdaz Downunder.

It looks to be about the size of a Wicked Wings but without the bone. The reviewer said the meat is from either wings or thigh.

  • +1

is this breast, love the breast

  • Lunch sorted 👌

    • -3

      there tiny

  • +1

Not showing in the App for me and I'm in VIC?
EDIT: changed store and now it shows up? Maybe not all stores?

  • How big is this boneless chicken. Those who have had it, please chime in. Comparable to a one piece chicken (thigh or maybe breast) or a nugget?

    • -1

Sizes are decent about the size of half your palm. A bit stringy and get's boring pretty fast.

    • -1

these ones are like a boneless wicked wing . there tiny . probably why they have different name to the normal hot and spicy

    • +2

1 piece probably the size of 2 wicked wings without the bones.. so decent value.

I would buy them again over wicked wings

      • i agree with hippyhippy in terms of the size. About double the amount of meat as a wing, without bones.

        Smaller than standard chicken.

Anyone who is saying tiny, or comparing to nuggets or popcorn is way off the mark.

        I had some yesterday.

  • This is just a way for KFC to get rid of and make profit from offcuts.

    • Half the boneless chicken piece is basically flour and oil.

    • -1

That's what popcorn chicken and nuggets are for

  • They dont give out any dipping sauce with this

    • +2

Just ask nicely and they will throw it in for free.

      • What kind of nice human-being KFC do you go to? :(

    • +1

They're not nuggets or tenders. It's actual 100% (sort of) chicken.

      • +1

nuggets certainly dont taste or feel like 100% chicken

        • +1

That's why you have dipping sauces and the hundred other ingredients in nuggets to make it taste better.

My point is it's not a dipping or bite size chicken. It's generally just eaten as is.

        • Probably because it is heavily processed

  • just got a few boxes work guys at work . they are tiny . more like a boneless wicked wing . probably why they have different name

    • What's the chilli level like out of 5?

      • just like a small zinger fillet

      • +5

        0.5

        • O.O'

      • like a 2/5 maybe

  • Shut up and take my money!

  • My local KFC advised it had been recalled and they don't have it/couldn't process an order. Ahh well.

  • Is it just larger spicy popcorn chicken?

    Or actually breast pieces?

    • -2

      Breast pieces.

      • Fantastic.

      • +1

It's not. Breast meat isn't brown/pink/dark when cooked.

    • +2

      Probably thigh.

    • +1

I ordered some, it's thigh meat. Very juicy

  • +9

For everyone asking about the size, here you go (after I'd eaten a few): https://imgur.com/a/OL2BeZb

    Pretty impressed.

    • Is it really not hot at all? SOmeone said 0.5/5 for the heat level.

      • +1

Similar to a zinger patty. 0.5 is probably about right.

      • +1

I tried it today. It’s about as spicy as the Hot Rods are but I’ve only had the Hot Rods once. Spicier than Wicked Wings. Surprised me slightly but still not that spicy.

    • +4

Not impressed. Exactly like a wicked wing size. 10 pieces for $10, nah. If it was 15 pieces for $10, then we have a deal. I'm more impressed with the skeleton kite though. I wonder where I can get the exact same thing. Perfect for the windy conditions we've been having lately.

      • +1

Cheap as chips seems better value but the Red Rooter chicken pieces are bigger overall.
I had KFC/RR back to back and the pieces in RR were bigger, less oilier and seemed better on reheating.
The issue is KFC tastes better but seems a hell less healthier than RR.

        • +1

I haven't tried the Red Rooter fried pieces ( I seem to keep on forgetting it) yet. Thanks for mentioning it and I will definitely gonna give 'em a go.

    • Thanks, definitely larger than Chicken McPieces (6 for $7).

  • +2

Wasn't super impressed with the piece I got in the fill up deal. Chewy/stringy offcut chicken. Thigh and wing meat is great if cooked correctly but I don't think this was that great. Not bad value though all things considered.

  • Bought it today, its like a hotrod off a stick, in size each is equivalent to 1 - 1.5 hotrods

  • First time i hit rejected when trying to claim survey reward, said they can't do it on app orders anymore and that it's now a button on the register 🤷‍♂️

    • Is it just a button they have to press for a purchase or does that button not show up until $4.95/$19.95 spend is met?

Thinking if one could just buy a $1 freeze with their app showing they've spent $4.95+

  • +5

    Maybe it's based on shops?
I'm at my 5th piece and it's all thigh meat which is to my liking
So it crunchy, tender and juicy. Well recommended
Size wise, just imagine the thigh original piece without the bone

  • Can't decide for lunch, this deal because of value or the old satisfying zinger stacker?

  • +1

Its around 5000kj about the same as 6 pieces of chicken or 5500kj for 10 wicked wings

  • -3

    Winner Dinner KFChicken Winner

  • -4

Lucky these are boneless not bonered chickens, who in their right mind would want a ding in their wing?

  • Only just realised that they are chicken "pieces", but origin or zinger fillets.

So $1/pieces, good deal or not depends on size.

  • I tried this in the Fill Up box today. It was a bit on the small side, probably similar to boneless Korean Fried Chicken, and the spice level was ok. Probably about the same spiciness as the hot rods, which is spicier than the Wicked Wings (which used to be spicy when they first came out back in 2004 or something).

  • Had this today. Decent for the price.

  • +2

nah… having red rooster fried chicken instead.

  • Anything with free delivery?

  • Not showing on my app?

Edit: It seems some stores don't offer it, just changed my store and its there

  • Couldn't find it in my app. Ordered the $10 with bones instead :(

  • Does anyone know if this is a time and day dependent offer? Eg. Tuesdays before 6pm?

Or all day, everyday, until the end of the promotion?

    • Yes, please! I would also like to know because I just ate the most healthiest lunch known to man and don't want to ruin my day with greasy shit.

      • +1

All day everyday until the end of the promotion

  • 10 thigh pieces.

  • +3

Just got them today. If you're a fan of wicked wings (I am), you will thoroughly enjoy these. Pieces are actually pretty big, considering they're boneless. I had some pieces close to burger fillet size… Tenders and original recipes are too dry imo. These are juicy and perf.

  • My local does these and i swear it tastes like they let them marinade in a salt water before drying and serving to customers. Not sure how it is like for everyone else but i can't enjoy these however they are pretty good value.

  • just got these - very nice even though some pieces had a lot of fat in em

Toast 2 bread pieces - put these in the middle - add some mustard and sriracha and you've got one awesome (or 10 in this case) burger for super cheap :D

  • Basically a boneless wicked wing - maybe 30% bigger. (note: as part of the fill-up box, but presumably they are the same)

  • +2

Tried it as part of the fill up deal, wasn't impressed.

Mine was a thigh piece, not very big.

    • You got the wrong deal mate, way more value for money in this one. My box was overflowing (lid wouldn't close properly due to so much chicken)

      • Just wanted a snack and to try it.

        • The two main items in that box are a wicked wing and a hot and crispy piece (half chicken thigh). With the rest being sides. Unless you have a small stomach it won't fill you up as the name suggests.

  • I have not been able to check out in app today, is it just me?

  • +2

God these were ridiculously juicy… Sleep time 🤤💤

  • +1

Sad that 9.95 cheap tuesday finished last week in qld. It was my regular for 4 years since i moved into queensland and made a record for myself i suppose.

    • No wonder I couldn't find it yesterday

I did not take a bite for this deal went to get something else

  • +1

Easily one of the worst things I've eaten at kfc, pieces are tiny, not hot at all, and just not very good.

I just hope everyone else has a better experience. I generally like kfc a lot and it may just be my local store, but I would guess not.
