  • Is full array led and mini led the same?

    • Nah, Full array is how it's back lit, Mini LED is analagous to OLED where they have dedicated RGB LED's as pixels

That's Micro LED you are talking about.

Ah, My bad, you're right, I always fk that up.

  • Whats the best 55 inch 4k tv to buy under $1000?

  • 65in OLED vs 75in FALD LED? decisions decisions

    • 75 inch TCL c825

      • I was going to go with this too, did some research into it and there seems to be issues of UI being buggy.

        Decided on sony x90J instead

    • I know, do I compromise Black levels for better HDR brightness. I really want to see a. HDTV test or Digital Trends review of the Sony X95J. Before I make my decision.

    • OLED by a mile

      Use case??

      Size wins every time

    • I went with the oled, but plenty of people say that the size/viewing distance is more important.

    • I have the 65 inch X90J. It's good, but off-axis viewing is poor and reflections are pretty bad even with indirect lighting coming from outside the room (I'm talking about the light from a brightish lit room coming into the viewing room). In the dark though, it's very good. So if you have a light-controlled viewing environment and will be watching it from front-on then probably the 75 inch x90J. If some viewers are off-angle, get the OLED. And if your room has a lot of light either direct or indirect, look for an LCD with better reflection handling than the X90J.

Went to see this at my local HN.
The pq of the X95J is sooo much better than the x90J.

    • That's true but there is a fair price difference too… depends on budget & how the average person views the picture difference

I got one of these for $2900 Harvey Norman about a month ago.

I was tossing up between OLED but in the end it was going in a bright room and I wanted 75in. Definitely made the right call, would have been super unhappy with the size of a 65 even if quality was better.

And didn't have budget for 77in OLED

  • I could have got this or the 65 inch C1 for the same price a while back but went with the Sony. Prefer the size and despite improvements, I don't want to ever have to worry about burn in, pixel shifting and lifespan of those pixels.

Would also depend if you're a videophile and care enough about the deeper blacks and all that. I personally don't and the PQ is more than good enough but that's just me.

  • Is this worth it for a non OLED 75"?

Im on the market for one

Or worth it paying 2x for the OLED 77"?!

    • better comparison would be the 100inch hisense S8 at that price point!

      • interesting! ill check it out, doesn't seem to have great apps in the hisense

        • it's really only the raw size that draws you to hisense. the picture quality is obviously much superior on the OLED. hisense software is not very exciting but a nvidia shield fixes that for 2-300

Sent a price match offer last night to Sony and they approved it. Able to get $199 off with 7% cashback from Cashrewards. Total $2940.

Only downside was that it's on backorder so will have to wait a bit longer.
