  Any recommendations for a really basic machine just for hemming pants/jeans and other stuff like that. I've heard that some machines don't work great with denim

    Make sure you change the needle and it should be okay on denim.

    Keep on mind most cheap sewing machines don't last. Tension always goes or something breaks after a few months.

    Maybe the Singer Heavy Duty machines? I think they're made for denim. I bought the Brother GS2700 a few months ago and have been hemming pants but not jeans.

  Lame sale, the Brother machine i have been waiting to buy there's no change in the price. Has the sale even started? Or ended? Or just so lame they forgot to reduce the price on the bulk of their stock?

  Does anyone happen to know of the least expensive embroidery machine that embroiders DST files, by any chance? Just a single colour logo but the machine probably needs to be sturdy enough to get it on to a cap without dying.
