Looks like a modified Wltoys 144001 but i cant find anything about it at all.

  • How does this car compare to the other flyhal deal?

    About $8 difference

    Charge time:180min

    Using time:11 min

    not quite efficient

This comment gets posted in every china rc car deal. The charger included is hardly a charger, if you are serious, you'll buy a better charger, if you're not, you'll probably be bored of the car by the time it depletes the two included batteries.

Does look a lot like a 144001, shame there are no internal pics

        What charger do you recommended?

      • Any recommendation on which charger to buy, I'm new to this and would love to be able to charge multiple batteries at the same time.

  • Bought one. Will likely gut it for spares as it looks like a 144001 clone with metal parts. The front bumper will make a nice addition to my 144001 since the lack of bumper has resulted in a bent shock (which I will also pilfer).

As per product description; 3 wire servo 45amp (presuambly 2 in 1) ESC. Overall, its still a bit of a gamble as there is zero info about this model online.

    • When you get it can you get post some more detailed pics?

      • +1

Sure, but that will be 2weeks to a month before it arrives. No doubt the deal will be gone by then. Which is a shame since the wheels (another thing to pilfer) on my wltoys just disintegrated today when I ran 3S ;)

        • Yeah i realise it will be a while. I have a few wltoys already so i know about the wait :)

The general gist of this car is that it is not quite a WLtoys 144001 and many parts would not be interchangeable.

        • most of the parts are built thicker/burlier, example; wheel axles 3mm on 144001, 4mm on this, shock tower is similarly thicker
        • red parts are cast metal, I wouldn't say annodized, but just painted
        • there are more glued screws than the WLToys which is very annoying as they are glued into plastic and metal which will make it hard to heatgun them out
        • it did include the extra wheels and and more little spares (screws, pins etc) than I expected
        • many of the nuts are plastic/nylon rather than the nyloc nuts on the WLToys
        • speed out of box I estimate to be 45km/h
        • steering movement is a little slow
        • the remote is decent enough with throttle, steering trim as well as steering angle adjust. Remote does feel plasticy and cheap though
        • bateries are 75x18x32mm size
        • main body shell is pretty sturdy, rear wing is very bendy
        • suspension out of the box is very good, oil is doing it's job
        • motor is a 2845 without any labels, unable to determine if the mouning point accepts 36xx motors
        • the steering tie rods are balls witth screws through, rather than a ball with a threaded shaft out the base. It would seem that to remove the rods to align wheels would require removal of those screws rather than just push fit removal on the 144001
        • 12mm hex adapters are metal

Mine has an issue which doesn't inspire much confidence; the front right wheel which seemed unacceptably loose is actually missing a bearing. It is not something that can fall out so I question the QC of the factory. I would like to check the diffs for quality/grease, but the glued screws prevents that

My takeaway would be; for the same price it is better value than the 144001 on the proviso that the car you receive is actually complete. The upgrade capability is hampered by not being a WLToys exact copy and them glued screws gonna be hella crap to deal with. It makes a good general basher or second RC car due to the extra wheels and the extra durability (based on mass), should make it risk free to hand over to kids or inexperienced users.

        • Interesting. Thanks for the write up.

  • Looks like there's a lot of metal parts on it and brushless! nice

anyone know if its programmable, so my kids (7 and 4 can use it at a relatively slow speed)

    • I can confirm it has speed control on the remote. Recieved mine last week and it has been a blast. My son loves it.

  • Even cheaper now AU$105.29

    • How are you getting $105.29?

      • Add to cart, add coupon, remove shipping insurance.

Price is fluctuating a bit due to exchange rate, shows as AU$106.76 for me.
