they're rarely the best, u could compare with all the similar ones. also that $35 referral is for the 2nd transfer (not the first transfer discount), which attract fee, so maybe net ~30 which is still not bad
Used to use them all the time because they used to be the best option around re fees and conversion rates. Now 'Wise' (formerly 'TransferWise') is the best option around re fees and conversion rates.
One advantage that WorldRemit has over Wise is that WR transfers from a credit card to a bank account are almost instant though (both parties get an SMS confirming that the transfer is complete, usually within 2 or 3 minutes). Wise is now down to less than 24 hours though, 'bank to bank', which is good enough for me.
Yes i used them few times. But not best rates as Instarem or Wise.
I think wise usually has the best rate, but at $35 world remit would be great for a small transfer.

My partner did this recently. Followed every guideline to a tee, then when it came time to receive the voucher, they cancelled the transaction for no reason and voided the voucher, presumably just to save on the referral fee.
I advise people to stick to Azimo or Instarem. I also had WorldRemit cancel the 2nd of the transactions which had the $35 promotion applied.
Not sure if this is an ACCA or AFCA matter, as this referral offer is clearly unobtainable, false and misleading.

Had worst experience. Sent money to father but they put it on hold and didn't refund despite of repeated promises. Had to do chargeback and took over a month.
