    That's a lot to pay for 1080p

    • Same price as a Logitech Streamcam…

  • This is for gamers making money on twitch streaming etc.

Not true. My viewers on chaturbate enjoyed the quality upgrade when I bought this.

  • It's saying the coupon code isn't valid? edit: never mind. You have to create an account for the code to work. If not, use code GAMING8 for 8% off

I have a hard time recommending any Razer product but I'm actually unfortunate enough to have owned the previous iteration of the Kiyo. For this money I would buy Logitech 922 Pro.

Currently IMO the best budget camera is the Raspberry Pi although it does require some setup which is well documented.

If you want high quality the entry tier DSLR that support USB are the best value for money such as Sony A5100. Make sure it has a green check on this list: https://www.elgato.com/en/cam-link/camera-check

or otherwise verify that the DSLR does AC, 24/7 operation and clean HDMI output.

    • I've had the previous Kiyo for years and use it for 30hrs+ a week of Teams video calls, constantly get compliments on how sharp it is. Guess it's horses for courses.

As for the rest of your suggestions, comparing homebrew/DIY and DSLR to a consumer grade camera is like comparing a unicycle and a 747 to a Camry… they'll all get you from A to B, sure, but most people aren't circus performers or pilots ;)

      • I use a 720p/30fps camera and some people also comment on how clear the image is. Its not all about the bells and whistles, I cheat and use Nvidia Broadcast which uses software AI to improve image quality. Hax ways, which is free but obviously requires an Nvidia graphics card.

  • too bad it doesnt do Windows Hello!

  • Gaming10 doesn't work, only Gaming8.

It does if you create an account before purchasing. That's what I had to do
