    too high for me

      Is it cheaper, somewhere else?

      • +6

That's not the point. It's like Mitsubishi selling for Mercedes prices. It's poor value for money and just because that's the going rate doesn't make it worth it.

        • +2

Until you need the car. (and Mercedes are selling at Lambo prices)

          • @gadget: People don't really need these cards unless they use them for work. Otherwise they stick with what they have or go outside.

            • @Yawhae: lol tell that to the people who don't live near the conveniences that many of us take for granted (and where public transport is poor). Are we talking cars or cards? ;)

              • @gadget: Graphics card. Cars are a pretty big necessity for most.

@gadget: And in this example - if you needed a car you have the option to buy a used Toyota Echo or whatever the GT710 equivalent is in high supply.
Imagine if a Toyota Corolla which is a level or two up is now 60k…

  • It was, not long age. And it will be.

    Just for context

You can sell your 4 year old 1080ti right now for near $1k on eBay.

And still not afford this card

          …just for context.

      • 3060 is a better comparison to 1080ti

      • No need to be jealous champ.

    • It’s more like between a 2080S and 2080Ti.

It's about a 25% rasterisation improvement, plus DLSS, raytracing, etc…

For 1500 it comes with a pc, just saying.

    • Oops, different cards….

I've got one of these from my last techfast pc order. Great card, No thermal issues.

    • I got the Eagle OC, temps during gaming are usually around 60c with the occasional spike to 65c

Don't mind overpaying, but some are just too much.
