What's the difference between the $60 one? Just RGB?

    • +1

I think this has smart features, which the other one doesn't have. I'm in the Yeelight ecosystem so having this linked to scenes/voice activation could be handy. Happy to be corrected, not overly confident.

  • For anyone who has this, what difference does it practically make to your experience?

    • I've had this for a while.
It's pretty good, I like the wireless control knob,i can customise the light anyway I want to. No footprint on my desk and it's bright enough. I would definitely buy again if I had to as it's very useful to me

      • Good for eye strain?

        • I don't sit in front of my desk for long periods of time, so can't really say.
I do know that it helps me see very well when I want to pull something apart or repair something so that I'm not struggling to see what I'm doing.
          I haven't noticed any adverse effects .
It can be dimmed using control knob

          • @Tsapena: Spot on, was trying to do craft work last evening and noticed my desk gets no light in evenings. Had to use my phones flash.

  • are these monitor lamp good for your eyes? office work

  • I have these, and really like them. Small footprint and is nice for those super overcast days where the room is dark, but not dark enough to justify turning on the room light.

  • OP when the lamp is sale again, let us know!

Are these any good for providing better lighting for video calls ?

    • +1

I would say no. They're designed to illuminate the desk surface, not your face.

    • +1

It does for me. I bought the non wifi version of this light as my room is quite dim. This has greatly improved my video call appearance. The light bar mounts magnetically to the clamp part so can be adjusted to whatever angle you need.

      • What sort of camera setup are you using with this? I currently have my webcam sitting on the top of the monitor. It seems like this would interfere with it. I guess I could get a separate arm for the webcam.

        • I attached this light on my 2nd monitor and use the built in webcam on my laptop. You're right they'd occupy the same spot on your monitor so it would be one or the other. halo ring lights are quite popular and take up alot less space. You shoule check those out.

  • Any good for xiaomi 34" Curved? Picture are only shown for flat screens

    • I’ve got one of these for my Xiaomi 34”, works great.

  • This video shows the older model i guess. Convinced and got one For Curved 34" . Thanks op

  • Ordered, will give it a go and see if it can replace my desk lamp.

"Please use it carefully for its non-waterproof"

    Did I missed something?

Can't comment on this lamp in particular, but I do have one of the similar but cheaper Baseus lamps.

Make sure whichever lamp you buy has asymmetric lighting (this one does). Can't stress this enough.

There are actually three baseus models but you'd be forgiven for thinking there's only two.

If you don't get an asymmetric model you'll end up either excessive light on the screen or light in your eyes.

  • did anyone receive a confirmation email after ordering this product. Also I am struggling to contact them….

    • I received an email from them, have you checked your spam inbox?

If this is any consolation for you, I haven't received my Yeelight yet (it's been stuck at Received and ready for processing from AusPost since last Tuesday). I did receive an email though.

    • I got mine last week (ACT), don't know how I lived without something like this- so much better than a desk lamp! Glad I paid extra so it can turn on/off with all of my routines but the Razer integration is a little naff.
