Oh no.. 30 days 30 kilos

    • +12

Well…there is always next year to get that perfect body

      • +1

Or rather, Dec-Oct to burn off Nov21, until Nov 22.

    • +1

And that's on top of the 30 kilos that lockdown has given.

        • +1

Dude lighten up, it was in jest.

          • -1

@Trishool: Dude lighten up, it was in jest TOO.

        • +3

Yes, there's so much evidence of this happening.

You're not smarter than the rest of us mate. Quite the opposite.

        • +3

Please post your Science degree and the peer reviewed paper you wrote and published in a respected medical journal with the evidence of this. Fast food causes way more health problems than any vaccine.

            • +10

@[Deactivated]: I can't begin to imagine what it must be like to be so dumb that you come full circle and think you're actually smarter than everyone else.

Especially when you decide a "cheap McDonalds food" thread is the place to make such claims 😂

            • +3

@[Deactivated]: I agree with you. God only knows what these scientists are putting on these thoroughly tested and regulated vaccines which suprisingly are working as expected.
Anyhoo, lets pack a cone and green out

            • @[Deactivated]:

They're closer to bathroom cleaning products

The PC you're using to post this drivel is emitting harmful radiation that is rotting your brain (moreso). How can you sit there and use it when you are closer to dying every day. Trust me bro, I also got my degree from the university of Facebook.

      Super Size Me

      is real in November!

    • +10

Shows you the values of the company: no mention of salads, wraps, fruit bags etc.

      • +13

They are only on the menu for window dressing. The company can claim to offer "healthy options" however in actuality the sales volumes of these items are miniscule compared to the traditional fare of Big Macs, Quarter Pounders, Cheeseburgers, french fries, McNuggets, McFlurries etc.

        • McDonald’s salads used to be better as well, the shaker ones. I buy McDonald’s salads because it’s the best option in my area. I long for Sumo Salad.

      • +7

Yeh i always go to Mcdonalds for a salad

      • Ask for a garden salad instead of fries, and they look confused. I even had one crew member argue that a garden salad isn't permissible in a Happy Meal.

      • Noone is forced to eat this

      • Wow, what a groundbreaking discovery!

      • Yeah don’t we all just want that McDonald’s salad.

    • +6

you'd think that killing off customers wouldn't be good for their business model

    • I wish I had as many upvotes as kilos to give this comment

  • +37

Good thing that COVID cases are going down because I'm going to be need one of those beds by the end of November with all these deals

    I'm safe on at least 20th, 22nd, 23rd and 28th though

      • +35

Still better than whatever nutjob we've got running NSW now..

        • +14

          7th kid… Cripes

            • -3

@Wardaddy: No one disagrees with you, but your comment hit a truth nerve with some members, hence the negs.

          • @Jessie Ryder: Accountant need to max out the benefits… sorta job habits before this post.

        • -4

          No, it really isn't.

        • -3

And that's the thing, Dan Andrews has survived scandal after scandal and because he is left wing all sins can be overlooked. Red shirts scandal, Lawyer X scandal, spending hundreds of thousands each month to guage public opinion so he can set covid policies not based on the science as claimed but on what will be popular, judicial persecution of the innocent Cardinal Pell, the serial incompetence of hotel quarantine failures for which no one took responsibility yet which killed 800 people and the ALP branch-stacking affair now being investigated by the corruption watchdog.

The new Premier for NSW, he is Catholic and has 7 kids…. and we get "he's a nutcase" and "Dan's better" comments.

          • +2

@heal: We went from Gladys who although made some slips in COVID footing, managed the pandemic quite well and made for nice memes.
This new guy? Two weeks in and already Scomo had to overpower his very lax restrictions.

I'm not sure what cloud you're dreaming on that because he's Catholic that God will save us from anything that happens. He's willing to trade lives for the economy and that's a rather frightening concept.

            • -2

@pennypincher98: What, the idea of opening up international travel? Always has been a Federal responsibility. He had plans to open up earlier than the Federal plan and got told no, that ain't happening.

because he's Catholic that God will save us from anything that happens

You are making my point for me with that ignorant comment.

He's willing to trade lives for the economy

Your opinion is based on…?? The left wing media has blasted NSW since the start. So has Dan. We were apparently too slow to go into full lockdown, we needed Dan's ring of steel, etc. Lisa Wilkinson was demanding Gladys' resignation daily based on her handling of the pandemic. Despite Vic having harsher and longer restrictions google maps data shows Sydney people stayed home more than Melbourne. And the case numbers reflect this. Dan has since changed his road map, it was pretty smart spending a pile of taxpayer funds to see what covid policies would be popular. You talking about trading lives. Be real here, not political.

              • @heal:

Always has been a Federal responsibility.

Yeah he hasn't got the fact he only runs the state and not the country yet.

Lisa Wilkinson was demanding Gladys' resignation daily

LMAO yes we should all get political and health advice from a Channel 10 newsreader. I can't even take the rest of your comment seriously now and not going to further reply. You do realise this is a thread about McDonald's deals?

                Be real here, not political.

                The hypocrisy is outstanding.

                • @pennypincher98:

Yeah he hasn't got the fact he only runs the state and not the country yet.

Tell me more about this knowledge you possess

health advice from a Channel 10 newsreader. I can't even take the rest of your comment seriously

You couldn't even address my point in that paragraph, or perhaps you don't want to.

You do realise this is a thread about McDonald's deals?

How did this thread start to go off topic? Look up and see it wasn't me, surely you realise I came in after your off topic reply?

                  The hypocrisy is outstanding

You make a grand statement using one example to "prove" your nutcase comment, then a double down of your opinion. And yet you claim i am being hypocritical? Oh the irony.

                  not going to further reply

I see you there exiting back stage.

          • @heal:

            the innocent Cardinal Pell

Next they'll be explaining that the last Pope wasn't a Nazi.

  • +42

The Big Mac should be $1.00 all the time now it's so small. A few bites & it's gone.

    • +3

Still 2360kj, how much did it used to be?

      • +2

        In 2004 2010kj

Click the PDF download above the "nutrition calculator".

        • That doesn't mean it's is smaller now.
It means there less energy in the burger.

          • +6

@spaceflight: Wow! How did you confuse me posting a link with me making a point?

            • @Haliax: My therapist says I don't understand sarcasm when it is written as there are no facial or verbal queues to pick up.

              • @spaceflight:

as there are no facial or verbal queues to pick up.

                As with masks !

          • +1

@spaceflight: They increased the volume of special sauce added to the Big Mac a few years back.

            • -3

@parano1a: So they increased the volume of special sauce and the energy content decreased?

That's a special sauce that will make them billions

              • +7

                @spaceflight: The energy content increased - 2004: 2010kj, 2021: 2360kj.

The additional sauce would account for the difference

                • @parano1a: And I think they have taken out the pickles. At least from the ones I've ordered recently.

      • +8

Smaller meat content, higher sauce amount, defo would explain the kjs…so why then are all my burgers so (profanity) dry too?

        • +2

          salt bro

        • Big Macs are always over sauced.. Half the sauce, double the cheese required.

    • +16

"The Big Mac's aren't smaller, you've just gotten fatter"

      -McDonald's, probably.

Tbh counting KJ doesn't mean much - they've probably just made the burgers smaller and even more unhealthy so it constitutes the same.

      • +1

TBH the only thing that's shrunk from what i can tell is the bun, and I used to make hundreds of them every shift.

        • I think maccas went with increasing prices rather than the shrinkage thing other companies do. From memory Aus, Japan and ?Denmark were leading in high mean price per item. I think we were all double USA. Japan was close to triple when they compared item mass to cost instead of just directly (not sure what they did for all the regional differences)

I used to love those buns as a kid. Mum did buttercup merchandising and they had a huge section at the depot for employees to grab which included maccas and those kfc (Probably a bunch more but 10 year old me wasn't observant or diverse enough in fast food bun distinction.

The maccas buns and mini kfc buns were basically desert, I cant imagine how much sugar they put in.

I haven't been for a while but last time I ordered a salad i had to laugh while reading the app as it had more KJ than the burger meals most of the guys in the car where eating. I only lost to a double quarter pounder with bacon meal.

    • +1

Could say the same for the large fries, large sundae etc. here too. The prices here are really all they're worth considering what you actually get.

    • should not call it Big Mac anymore, so misleading.

  • +4

    4) 40% off is get fat day :)

    • It's "Get 40% fatter day".

      • +1

It's actually get 66.7% fatter day (for the same outlay).

  • +9

Usually the very last deal is the best then I see fillet o fish 😂😂😂

    • +1

I think that's a good thing! Some people may not even make it that far 😂

    • +3

😂the fillet o fish is the best burger, $2 here I come with 10 of them that day!

      • Better have 10 accounts then

    • +2

i really like filet-o-fish. But seems to divide people.

      • +1

Ugh disgusting. I don't know how people can eat it. Soggy lukewarm fish fingers. At least the TWO that I've eaten in my lifetime - many years apart - were both like that. And they repeated on me for the better part of a day, ruing the nice baked dinner that night.

        • Yeah it basically is a giant fish finger. But its usually nice and crispy when i get it

    • Haha yeah it's like finishing off a thirty minute firework show with those terrible black snakes.

      • Racist! 😋

  • +7

Nice, will add this to my calendar/thighs.

$1 Big Mac and 40% off spend are the best ones IMO.

    • +2

40% off is gonna be a busy drive-thru.

  • 2 small 10 nug meals for $9? sign me up

  • +3

Does anyone bulk buy and freeze maccas burgers? A bunch of cheeseburgers could go alright for emergencies.
