Building a PC and found some interesting deals.

To my understanding the timing is not great for gaming/demanding work, but otherwise seems like a good price for home/media PCs.

Fulfilled by Amazon US so shipping may take longer, I live in suburban Sydney and the estimate delivery time for me is 28 Oct - 17 Nov

  • very good price. any idea of its jedec info?
    the page didnt say voltage
am looking for another 2*8 kit for my lenovo legion 7000p, which does not support xMP the one with ryzen 5800…

Lenovo stripping features (to justify the thinkpad prices?) has been a bit disappointing. You should be able to use overdrive or ryzen master to oc your ram. Either that or I misunderstood completely and youre buying some factory oc'd ram because the kit you got isn't stable? Well either way best of luck.

Im trying to hunt 32gb of decent sodimms for my legion 7. Crucial couldnt even ship me a kit from the US because they didn't have any in stock -_-.

      • exactly, Lenovo disabled the BIOS options for the features. Can only use the jedec profile.
But Ryzen master should work, but only after get into the OS.
Factory OC'd ram may not be well supported, it still goes to the default 1.2 V setting and the jedec profile. Hence could be some waste for those high frequency factory OC'ed ram. But this default 3200 C20 at 1.2 v is a quite decent decent price, comparing to Crucial 3200 C22 1.2V at around $48 now.
Anyway, it is shipped, just wait now.
It is not that easy to find good spec default 1.2V sticks, good luck to your hunt…

    Voltage: 1.2V - Latency: CL20-22-22-46

    • thanks.
should work, and just ordered. this should be better than the crucial 3200 c22 one, which is $48 for 8 GB stick at amazon au.

Got these at $84 last week dammit.

    • Wait until you see how much house prices have gone up..

Not really feeling the analogy between an 18.4% increase in house prices over the last year and a sharp discount on a moderately priced computer peripheral…

If a $7 price decrease on an item you got a week ago worries you, I don't know how you can handle what's happening with the rest of the economy.

I sometimes get bogged down in worrying about these things too, until I take a step back and realise there's way bigger shit to worry about.

@cnut: If you've managed to somehow derive worry from my mere expression of discontent at a price drop, then I agree that you have bigger things to worry about.
