110

Seen them in store, marked from $10 to $5 but scanned at $3, same price online, seems Target-wide clearance. Was pleasantly surprised by good quality zippers and overall sewing job.

One cube is standalone and second is sewn to carrying pouch with dual sided zipper which can be turned inside out and used for smallish things.

I can't figure out what that is and no description tells.

They seem to be a cube like bag you pack things into, then pack them in your suitcase or such, to keep things organized:

Its for people who didnt save their plastic shopping bags

    • Packing cubes. Basically helps you organise things and pack more efficiently when you're packing a bag or suitcase. They're good for travelling, camping etc.

Nothing so substantial as those 400GSM Canvas bags!

These are Nylon with breathable mesh. Basically a tough breathable plastic bag with a zip to keep your stuff together.

More like the 50c flimsy ones that were sold by the Reject Shop - seen at right of photo in Deal link. I rejected them!

Kathmandu often has larger more sturdy packing cells on clearance or sale for $10 ea

Used in OS travel - handy to locate what you want quickly. One for t-shirts, 1 for undies etc… Handy to choose different colours & sizes so you can locate easily in luggage.

Still have those Kathmandu ones a decade later - hard to destroy.
Now just use large cliplock plastic bags, as I travel lighter with smaller quantity in small pack - carry on only.

        • I'm much the same, LOTS of snap/clip-lock bags in various sizes when traveling, hiking, riding, and such, mainly because they're water & dust proof and cheap enough to throw out when they get worn or dusty… I need to find a source for decent thick large ones though, the OfficeWorks ones are too thin these days… (I also use old Vietnam era army sleeping-bag bags I got at auction for next to nothing in the 90's, I have probably 500 or more of them, lol)

@FLICKIT: Yes - dust is your enemy on the outback trails! Protected in a suitable & durable dry sack as you likely do - should be fine!

Got a stack of 255x365mm press seal bags from OW in a Deal years ago. Have been great. Takes t-shirts or shorts, etc in each bag.
And the dirty washing is kept separate & smells controlled until it's time to wash. Can't do that with these breathable ones.
They go in vertically in small pack, so easy to find the right one.

@INFIDEL: Yeh, I have quite a few dry bags also but everything gets double bagged which is where the snap-lock bags come in handy… K-mart sell some cheap dry-bags that aren't bad, they're a bit on the weighty side for hiking though so I tend to use the thin light Kathmandu ones when weight is an issue… On the motorbike I tend to use the thick PVC ones SCA & BCF use to sell because they're quite durable… Horses for courses…

@FLICKIT: Our first discussion years ago was over dry sacks.
You preferred thick & sturdy for use on dirt roads with a motorcycle, I preferred light for overseas travel with only carry on luggage.

But we both agreed on the need for strong & durable! Sounds like a discussion on Condoms ;-)

These are light, but doubt they would be strong & durable!

              • @FLICKIT: Also have the sturdier dry sacks from Kmart & SuperCheap. Handy to keep things dry, but too heavy for me in a pack when hiking for days.

But they have a very different use to the simple packing cell in this Deal.

          • @FLICKIT: Bought these Space Vac Travel Vacuum-Seal Storage Bags 4 Pack half price for $15 @bigW.

Not that sturdy. Have similar no-name ones that inflated to normal size on 2nd use. So those are now just large press-seal bags.

Added to order to make up to $40 for 4000 bonus Rewards points worth $20! Still trying to decide to keep - or return & keep the points!

Might duck out overseas some time soon. Preparing for my exit! I've got credit on a cancelled flight waiting…
