    Pathetic, I have done anything by the book and they are refusing to pay $30 stating that "they cannot see that referral was used". I even managed to get the referral link I used from the cache. They keep asking for the name, phone number, screenshot of the original referral email etc.

    • Wonder does it cap if the referer has reached their limit of 5, therefore, forfeiting any additional referees as well. Wouldn't make sense to impact the referee but does seems like a potential problem.

      • This is not the case here - they state that "the referrer is not linked to your profile" and insist that I have to provide the original invitation in the form of email or screenshot.

    • KYC is just verification of ID which you mentioned you already were successful.

      I would speak to live chat and confirm you have completed all steps and ask when to expect your $30

    • For what it's worth, I did the exact same steps as you except I used my blue virtual card (as opposed to the pink online card) and was credited $30 almost immediately after my third $10 purchase.

          Update: caught Live Agent for help and they pushed through afterwards about 4 hours later. Both received $30 as expected. Might be a system overload, try Live Agent under Help chatbot

          • @CVonC: Don't think this is the issue. It is my own referral link and I can see her referral progress got stuck at "3 card payments to be completed" which we had completed 4 transactions with the virtual card. :(

  • Need help! I signed up Revolut & verified & deposited $30. Money in so tried to buy $10 egiftcard from shopback but transaction keeps having error. Online payments are disabled message showing in Revolut app. When I clicked on the enable them to proceed under the security settings it said You can enable these security settings once you receive your card. In the meantime, you can add it to Google Pay or use virtual card. I did use the virtual card but getting error. Has anyone got same problem? Do I have to add the virtual card to Google Pay to pay?

    • I used the pink temporary card while waiting for the physical one, still waiting for the $30 though. Others did not seem to get the $30 when using the pink card. From previous comments it seems the blue one can be added to google pay and used.

        • @maccam01, I used the pink card, the transaction gone through ok, but still haven't received the $30. I read the T & C it said Rewards will be paid within 10 working days after the end of the Promotion Period. It is rather confusing as some of the ozbargainers said already received.

          • @Bargain321: Strange but yeah. I used one from the system and got it completed within 15 mins of signing up. Another person via the system used my code and got it completed in 1 hour based on the "last click" on the system and the referer bonus hitting my account.

    • I checked my referrals. Someone has done all but order the card which is weird. If someone sees that either one of these two is them you are at these stages. If you need help with getting evidence to support shoot me a d'm.

              I have the same issue with my own referral link - it does not have the !NOV1AGG suffix. So, I asked my family member to be careful in selecting one of the other valid referral links from here as using my link would not work for this promo.

              I think the mods should flush out all the dodgy referral links from here as too many people have been caught out like yourself.

    • I did all the steps by friday arvo but didnt get the money (I used the blue virtual card) so on saturday I wrote to them on chat. I explained it all to Julie and she said they would put in a request to the relevant team. Then today I was informed the request was successful and I was given the reward!

    No, the app only generates a reminder which you must send to the person's phone or email which you wouldn't obviously have.

      You mean someone send u money from their Revolut instead of funding it themselves? No, I tried that one before with a friend, it didn't ticked the step 2, which specifically said: Add money by connecting their bank account or debit card.
      The order doesn't matter though, can do those steps in any order.

    • Is this on an Android phone? If so, what version of Android is it running? You can check via Settings > About Phone > Android Version (might be a little different depending on your phone). I think your issue could be related to your phone being on an outdated version of Android, despite it stating that it is 'up to date'.

      To expand, your phone could report as being 'up to date' but still have an outdated version of Android, as this is only dependent on whether the firmware on your phone is the same as the last available firmware update released for your device, irrelevant of when that firmware was originally made available or released.

      As an example, if the last available firmware update for your phone is five years old, but your phone is already running this firmware, your phone will state that it is 'up to date' even though the version of Android in that firmware would be many many versions old.

      • Thank you for the detailed reply. Yes my phone is andoid phone, Samsung 10+, and is on android version 10. I regularly update software. So it might be something to do with my Google play services / store. When search for Revolut app in Google play store it didn't even come up. So I have no idea how to fix it.

        Google the problem and tried a few things nothing worked. Does anyone else have the same issue? It is frustrating. I am hoping someone here knows how to fix this issue. The last thing I could try would be installing apk files which I hesitated to do.

        • If all else fails perhaps use another device to sign up on, i.e swap sim into another device to sign up, then install apk an. use it normal?

          • @Sheng: I am hesitating to install apk files on my phone at the moment. And yes, I could use another device to sign up and use revolut on the other device which is really inconvenient.

            This is the first time I have this problem, your device isn't compatible with this version. I am keen to fix it.

I reckon no as I need to use the referral link to sign up but it direct me to Google play to download the app there where I got a different error message, this app is no longer compatible with your device.

    • LOL!! Go with Combank/NAB/Westpac/ANZ/ING/ and many more and all will give your physical card for $0 every single time (you report your card lost or stolen or order a new one)

    • Signed up yesterday and made the 3 transaction soon afterwards. Took 6 hours for the bonus to arrive. I did contact live chat about it so not sure if that helped (although they just told me to wait and it would arrive later which it did).

      • I was in the same boat & did online chat with them. They asked for my referrer's name and mobile number. Luckily I still have the referral link saved so just gave the rep the referrer's name & link as I don't have their mobile number. Got my $30 a day later.

        • Explained the situation to 2 reps and gave them name + link, wouldn't budge. Kept insisting that there was nothing they could do.

          Last rep just told me "if you did it right, it should come within the deadline". They couldn't tell me if I HAD done it right or even if I was a referee in the first place.

    Revolut need to work on their referral and purchase tracking system from the sounds of it. Seems as though quite a few people are needing to either follow up to get their purchases tracked, or are otherwise missing out.

    On my end, I have a referral who's been on green ticks for a while for everything except for the three purchases. It's possible they actually haven't made any purchases yet, but the referral came from here so I assume they were intending on getting their $30 credit too.

    (Michael H, if you've made your purchases and they haven't tracked, you might need to follow up with Revolut before the 17th!)

  • Had to follow up with live chat to confirm my new account had the referral bonus available, they confirmed yes and then credited me within the next 12 hours, I did wait 3 days or so after I had done all the steps.

  • We shouldn't have to contact Revolut support via chat if all the instructions were followed to the letter.
    It seems like they are making it difficult for the referees to earn their $30 bonus.

    Still no bonus, and now I can't even chat with a new person as the feature got disabled for me.

      I know Revolut have applied for a banking license in Australia, but if this is how they are handling basic customer service then they really need to lift their game!

    • This is really annoying.. I've completed 3 purchases over $10, ordered a physical card etc and haven't gotten anything. So I may have gotten a dud referral (i don't have the link and I don't remember the name.. Yusuf maybe?). Can mods please wipe the referrals each time for a promo so this doesn't happen again? Really disappointing.

  • The Revolut system did not consider Shopback Gift card purchases as valid transactions for the $30 referral reward as per the chat with the rep. I had to do new 3x$10 transactions (bought egift cards from amazon.com.au) and it instantly triggered the $30 credit.

    Campaign finished, don't sign up with the referrals as these now need to be flushed awaiting the next promotion

    • true turning pending to settled transaction takes at least 1 day too. So no way anyone signing up today will get the bonus instead should wait for the next promo starting tomorrow

I'll left them a 1 star app store review - they really should pay if you click a referral, they say they will on the landing page, and you follow all the steps they ask of you - then if they don't pay that's on them for trying to be tricky of using different campaigns. It's a false economy on their behalf and will backfire, they should just pay people what they promised them on the landing page.
      Edit: and I will neg this deal too - I thank the OP, but problem is the company in question are being idiots, and if you follow the steps and don't get the reward, then it's not a deal by any definition.

    I had one referral (a friend) - I know he made 3x $10 transactions, all settled and didn't get the money straight away. I had to open a chat and provide name and phone number of the person I referred…
    I think they're trying to prevent OB referrals … (first message was that we had to wait up until 10days past the promotion).

    How do we make a formal complaint against Revolut? I am one of those unfortunate ones who used a referral, followed all the steps and didn't get my bonus. When contacting Live chat - which took several days by the way, I was informed that I am blocked from the promotion and from any future promotions ie I won't be able to refer others as well because my activity was not in line with terms and conditions. For reference, I ordered the card, and bought 2 superswap cards and paid a bill. Also for reference, I've never participated in any other promotions with revolut before, have never received any bonus money, never had a 'friend' refer me or be referred by me. But I have been accused for being a cheat and a liar which I really take offense to, aside from not getting that bonus and completely wasting my time with this.

    She definitely signed up and bought 4 gift cards (I got the Shopback referral bonus from her) but nothing from Revolut after a week.

    My link ended with x39!NOV2AR so I hope that's correct?
    Sheesh, looking at all the above comments, I might just cancel my Revolut and I'm going to use up all remaining balance loaded. Too risky to leave money with them if the customer service is this bad
