    Got one of these in the $2.74 deal last time. They're not as cool or useful as you may think they look.

    Very narrow & awkward opening with stupid restrictive cover making them near useless for anything except maybe cigarettes. You can't even light candles with them. It's been in a drawer for months. Don't recommend.

      To be fair, I don't think it was designed for lighting candles or even cigarettes. You should have got this one if you wanted it for candles and just being more useful around the house as it would be better for lighting gas stoves and BBQ's.

        It is designed for lighting cigarettes, especially for windy days. Not very good for other purposes.

      They look cool but unfortunately as hybroid said they are not very practical. Probably only good for showing off to your mates in the packed smoking room at the pub.

      Battery life is not bad and they come in nice packaging. Might be good for a gift but you may be resented for giving it ;-)

      Not effective or easy to use.
      Mine sits in the drawer also.

    This isn't a bargain, cheaper on Aliexpress from K-Lighter Store (513 orders) = US$7.29 + $1.58 delivery + GST $9.76 (~AU$13.00)

    No deal, but why compare to AliExpress? 1000s of products are cheaper on Ali Express, does that mean you shouldn't post on ozbargains. I would spend that little extra for quick delivery and Amazon warranty. Also you are helping Aussie if you buy locally (even if the product is sourced overseas)

        Added to this…….last three (cheapie) orders from Aliexpress failed to turn up or even reach Australia. Personally, I have since decided to stay well clear of them. Their support is also attrocious. Paypal refunded luckily.

      Because Amazon is full of Alibaba dropshipping scrubs. I call them out too when I see them.

      Buying from Alibaba/AliExpress and reselling on Amazon at a premium isn't a bargain. OZB isn't "advertising for my dropshipping business".

          These are just scrubs who watch a YouTube video and think starting your business is as simple as create an Alibaba account.

          On the worse end of the spectrum they list a bunch of items on Amazon, order from China and then send out locally when they arrive.

          The slightly better resellers order a handful of products in bulk and offload them locally through Amazon.

          If there's a few dollars difference I'll let it slide because convenience. Far too often we see 200%+ markups over AB/AE on here though. That's not a bargain.

              Just for clarity, I don't have a problem with people doing this. What I have a problem with is them coming on here and marketing.

              Amazon dropshipping from China isn't a bargain.
