Most installers prefer not to choose Growatt due to higher failure rate then the likes of Sungrow/Goodwe etc.

just a heads up for others looking. Not saying it's a bad deal as I don't know NSW's pricing

Had their 8kw inverters recalled earlier this year, has a below average history in Australia but their new inverters get decent reviews, guess time will tell

    • “No watt”

    • Are the Goodwe inverters good? I've got a quote for a goodwe inverter, and hadn't heard of them? The Fronius is $1000 extra.

      • Yeah they're in the midrange from what I've heard. What size?

Isn't asking for trouble to have a 8.2kw system on a 6kw inverter?

Nah its fine, usually go up to 133% over inverter size to still receive STC's

It's usually calculated this way because the power your panels can generate exceeds 6kW maybe only for a few hours a day, and that is on a very sunny day. The total power you generate in a year would not change much with a 8.2kW inverter as you can rarely max it out.

    • My 10.3kw on 8kw inverter gets maxed from 945am so it definitely helps and is better on cloudy days

      • Also note, i got the time wrong, but 845am

    • Hi Mate,

Yes we can still do that deal at this stage, we are not sure for how much longer though.
