These previously popular Xiaomi Bluetooth temperature humidity sensors are back on sale again and in a pack of 4 that works out to be cheaper than the cost of 1 from Xiaomi AU.

Edit: For those who received an email newsletter from GeekBuying recently, there is a link to this for US$13.99.

These monitors will display the current temperature/humidity and can be linked with other Xiaomi smart home products via the Mi Home app. It also has a "baby monitor" mode where it will send you an alert through the Mi Home app when the temperature and humidity go too high or too low.

For those who are into tickering there is a custom firmware project for this too.

  • OP any chance we can get more stock? Super cut I missed out on this deal for the 3rd time! Thanks if you can

  • Now back in stock, just ordered

  • i think a group of us are looking for Wifi models.

Anybody got some good models to share?!

  • Anyone managed to add them to Tuya Smart app? The Mi Home app is useless.

  • ONLY ONE QUESTION:who need 4 Temperature Humidity Sensors at same time?BATH/KITCHEN/LIVING/BEDROOM?

    • Fridge, Outside, Living room, Bedroom and so on. It's more a "as a matter of interest" for many, where as others will control aircon, fans etc based on room temp i.e. if room is above 24c, turn on Aircon etc. All fun.

    • Roof cavity? Upstairs, downstairs.

  • How easy is it to swap out the CR2032 battery? I bought a cheapy off from Amazon and the cover broke when the battery died and had to discard it.

  • Thanks OP, bought some. Will look to work out if theres a way to make these slightly smarter.

Ps the extra 7c for faster shipping was a nice option :)

  • I want to use one for the fridge and one for the freezer.
The freezer should be at 0 C or less.
The specs of this gauge say it only goes down to 0C
If it goes under 0C will there be a problem?
Has anyone tried it in a freezer?

    • +2

It definately goes below zero. I stuck one in freezer for you 15 mins ago.
The problem might be the battery. Not sure how long or well it would do at -16+c or whatever a freezer goes to. Wonder how well the electronics do in low temps long term? A probe on a wire and the led outside on door might be better?

Anyhow, it's reporting back (HomeAssistant) as -16.8c and still dropping (takes time to drop). I won't be leaving it there but a nice test that it works and bluetooth still reaching out :-)

      • Thanks for the "road test"
I will order a set now, I guess even if I break one its only about the price of a cuppa.

        • It has settled down at -21.8c and humidity @ 60.7. Battery takes a hit and dropped from 85% to 50% (to be expected). How long it stays @50% I have no idea. If I placed back into room temp (or Fridge), it would perk back up.

          • @Borg: I have the older eink style one and when I tried the freezer months back it shut off completely after an hour.

            • @Clear: Sounds like these do better so. Mine is still in the freezer and still working (23 hours). When I get the next x4, I might chuck one in long term and see how long it lasts.

Received today but only received 2 sensors. Raising a ticket with Geekbuying to get this fixed.

      Whats your order number?

      • 5559474, thanks very much if you can help

        • Thanks. Can you please PM me your tracking number? The ticket number too would be good.

        • Well anyway, your order actually hasn't shipped so did you order them elsewhere as well?

          • @Clear: My apologies! After some further digging, it appears this order is from Aliexpress that I made back in Feb 21.. It's just taken this long to come which is ridiculous and I completely forgot about it.

I can't edit comments otherwise I would, so no issue anymore and I'll update my ticket shortly. Thanks @Clear.

@JSONBourne: Haha………so wasnt a record breaking 4 day delivery but ended up being a 9 month delivery. That's funny :-).

              • @Borg: My bad, here I was both impressed but not impressed ;)

    • Wow, 4 day delivery fron China?

      • +1

I paid the 7c extra for priority shipping. Don't think it was shipped internationally.

        • I ordered 3 days prior to this and paid the 0.7c…..barely any movement so far. Perhaps your order was from Oz?

          • @Borg: No AusPost symbols on the parcel but it's got VIC on the plastic underneath the printed address label.

  • Thanks. Ordered a 4 pack and paid the 7 cents extra shipping.

  • Price shows as $13.99 now. Be careful to check. If you add the coupon code, it changes the base price to $18.99 and applies the coupon to bring it "down" to $14.99 (ie. higher than before the coupon was applied).

    • Interesting as the price shows as $18.99 for me on the 4 pack.

        • I suspected that would be the case. You must have received an eDM with the lower price because there's a "Newsletter price" banner above.

          • @Clear: Yes I did. I saw the email after I saw your deal post (and after I'd already paid $14.99). After clicking the link in the email, now even when I click the link in your deal post it still shows the lower price, even though it's using the normal URL as seen in the screenshot. Weird.

            • @tbone74: The eDM URL inserts a browser cookie that's generating the price. Once the cookie expires or when it gets wiped the price will go back to normal.

              • @Clear: Thanks, makes sense.

May be worth adding to your deal post that the price is a little cheaper for anybody who receives the email newsletter and clicks the link.

                • @tbone74: Sure good idea.

  • When should we expect these to start shipping? Ordered this back on the 4th with the priority shipping option, and the status is still listed as "Payment Confirmed (Processing)" for me.

    • +1

All the orders will be shipped within 2 days.

  • i paid the extra for shipping but got an email saying its been shipped, 15-45 days for delivery … wtf ? lol

    • What's your order number? I'll see what's going on.

  • Ordered on 6 November and it arrived 24 November.
    Not bad at all
