Things to note

  • Shipping $ jumps up at 2kg+ because it is then classified as dangerous goods which carries a handling surcharge unfortunately
  • Container label artwork will be different to what's displayed (In the phase of updating it)
  • Delays in shipping may occur in the lead up to Black Friday / Covid combo
  • There is a little learning curve with resin, but even in the early stages you will be producing amazing works of art that are sure to impress and are very popular / profitable forms of art.

  • Any glow in the dark resin option for garage epoxy?

  • +2

Hey. Your best option is to mix in a glow in the dark pigment / powder. We don't carry one unfortunately but would be easy acquire one online

  • Try to purchase the 400ml kit but got this error during checkout:
    - Please ensure that the minimum cart value is $30 before proceeding.
Does it mean no purchase under $30 is allowed before shipping fee applies?

    • Try again, I disabled it :)

    Looks good.
My kids made something identical at Kinder.

Is this type of resin appropriate for 'river' tables when woodworking?

  • $52 shipping to Sydney CBD area is painful

    • +1

It's cheaper to buy multiple 1L units.

    • Unfortunately we can't use Auspost after the 2kg+, it then becomes a Dangerous Goods specialist carrier. We wish ourselves there was a better way.

  • Can I use glass mesh with this and use it for fibre glass reinforcing ….seems cheaper than what I pay yacht / boating suppliers.

    • Depends how UV tolerant it is…

    • I'm investigating this answer with the owners

  • Having trouble checking out. Website not loading cart correctly

    • Possibly slow from ozbargain, looks like we need a server upgrade. If you get stuck, call 03 95792044 and i'm sure they will be happy to manually put your order through.

    • Yes, too slow to use :/

  • how do you calculate coverage? I want to cover a dinner table with a clear resin.

  • It's a simple LxWxH measurement, the key here is how thick you want it to be. Always order a bit more then your measurements to allow for tolerance.
There is a cube volume calculator here as well if you prefer: https://www.calculator.net/volume-calculator.html. The most important thing though (Good tip for everyone reading) is thoroughly mixing the product to ensure you don't end up with a sticky mess that won't cure. Use square edged containers and square edged mixing sticks.

    • Also if the first pour is not thick enough, you can add an additional layer after the first layer has cured. Keep the area clear of dust as well.

  • try to use outdoors and with a mask if you can: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U17lOymGxoM

I understand you mean well, but please don't use YouTube for health advice, especially from some random lady.
Instead just direct people to read the labels on the products they use. The risks and concerns are very clearly labelled right on the bottle !

The epoxy I use specifically states to use in a well ventilated area, wear gloves, avoid contact, etc etc - YouTube lady is clearly a plonker for ignoring all that. Using it in a small sealed room ? WTF.

      • Yes, we do recommend reading the lable and yes ventilation is a must

Do the tubs have a shelf life?

    • +1

      Hi Alidli,
The shelf life is 2 years approximately.

  • Is this suitable to repair a damaged/missing section on a resin covered table?

    • All depends on the table is it just covered at 1mm in resin currently with a missing section?

  • The website hasn't been working for a few days now?

    • Sorry about that, we updated our server because of the speed, it's runny much faster now but did cause an outage during the migration
