dickie offered a 25 dollar gift card.. combined with a $50 MS fuel voucher

    • At the $150 price, that was an awesome deal. All my mates suddenly became legitimate after that deal.

    • That deals not around anymore is it? i have three old P4 machines that would probably benifit from having 7 on them…if they run it- hows it go on single core non hyper threaded P4s? is it an improvement from XP?

id keep them on xp if i was you. You want at least 2gb ram for windows 7 as well.

    • Yep, and I used both cards at my next visit to Woolies-Caltex and paid for $75 worth of fuel.
So the 3 licenses cost me $25 each
Note: They also work as a clean install

Told dad to get this when I found out… he went and bought it, came home with no voucher, no fuel card :/

Not sure what happened. Guess he didn't ask.

Maybe, except for the simple fact that right now it's a non-existant operating system

      • +1

stop ruining a good story with facts…

        • LOL, of course I couldn't help myself :-D

(wish I could've spelt 'existent' correctly, however)

          Wikipedia currently states:

"A release date for the finished version of Windows 8 has been set for October 2012. The most recent pre-release version is the Consumer Preview, which was released on February 29, 2012".

My understanding is that Microsoft haven't made an official statement, have they?
