  • Was going to post this a few days then got sidetracked with another deal and forgot all about it lol. Good to hear it's not a bad kit.

I think they're more sturdy and powerful than the Wowsticks. Certainly a much better grip.

Reviews are good on Amazon too.

  • Does this have variable turning speed? I have the Wowstick, but that only has 1 speed on/off that's not always suitable

this looks to be the same as the Aldi one that I think was on sale over a year ago - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/554292

If so, tentatively recommend (even though Aldi had it for I think $25).

    Pros:
I've had it for a year and a half and it still works fine.
Surprising amount of torque, good quality bits, battery lasts a long time and it uses a USB C charger!!!! (Imagine that).
Very rugged, has been dropped a number of times but continues to operate just fine.
    Magnetic bits and holder
Led light as soon as you turn on and stays on a bit afterwards too

    Bonus:
While dearer, this Worx version seems to also have coloured bits (easier to identify) and black main phillips head attachment (looks cooler/goes faster?!) vs the original Aldi one which just had boring grey bits).

    Downsides:
Heavy/bulky for an electric screwdriver, its no Xiaomi wowstick or whatever that Ozbargain fave one is called
    Quite noisy when running
Like with most of these sorts of tools, consider the right tool for the job - this one cannot adjust speed nor does it have any sort of clutch/torque limiter (though you have 3 settings for torque) but can't be too greedy at this price

i.e. this is that middle ground item -

    • its not as compact as the really small electric screwdrivers but has more torque than those

    • it's a little cheaper than just buying a Ryobi or Ozito drill and using the clutch settings + var, speed trigger, but that would be a much more versatile tool

    • and it's actually more expensive than the Kogan/Certa electric screwdriver which has way more functionality + adjustable speed + an adjustable clutch + rotatable from gun to vertical hold….but it's not Kogan so there is that:

    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/certa-36v-cordless-drill-and-sc…)

    • I have the Aldi one too. Would not recommend this kind of electric screwdriver. It's difficult to hold the shaft and press the go button at the same time - it jerks your wrist in a weird way. Despite having 3 torque settings, it's difficult to control the strength of the screwing. As you've mentioned, an electric drill with variable torque is much better for screwing if you can afford one.

    • That's a really good summary. I use mine on specific electronics and when it comes to some home DIY or more I stick to the Ozito.

  • Hi, im getting a shipping charge when trying to order.. anyone else ?

  • +3

Excellent deal, but negging just to raise a warning that you won't actually get the toolbox.

I have recently bought this and this is the box it will come in.

    • +1

Well that would explain what the note is in the item description then, bit of a let down if that's the case (no pun intended lol)

    • Where does it say that you get a toolbox? The deal certainly doesn't say it anywhere and Banggood are open about it too.

      Note:
Dear customer, due to factory reasons, the product packaging is shipped randomly, which may be plastic or high-grade paper gift boxes.

Really not fair to neg tbh.

      • Ok fair enough, looks like they changed the description from last time i checked. About 2 weeks ago, toolbox was still in the spec and there was no words about the paper box. They do need to fix the images tho.

        • Looking at the reviews where you got your image from there is a mix of box and toolcase.

          • @Clear: Couldn't bother uploading my own. Happy to take a pic of mine with magicmushroom on paper if you're sus. I have no malicious intention. Just raising awareness.

            • @MagicMushroom: I'll add it to the OP as I hadn't actually seen that warning originally.

              • @Clear: Also I'm not sure what torque speed is but can confirm there's no speed control (in terms of number of revolution per min).

Seems to be in the description vaguely too

And Speed is fixed(One speed can not regulated)

                • @MagicMushroom: I just paraphrase my descriptions. Ideally people should be doing their own research before clicking buy.

                  • @Clear: Oh well, people don't even read post description no matter how hard you try 🤦

  • Anyone used this and a Bosch Go, how do they compare? https://www.bunnings.com.au/bosch-blue-3-6v-cordless-screwdr…
I use the Bosch everyday and it's great.

  • Got mine yesterday and holy crap, these are a great screwdriver. I’ve only owned it an used it a day and I can tell it’s going to be my new daily driver over my Wiha manual and my SnapOn ratchet screwdrivers.

I wasn’t expecting much for the price, but it definitely is worth every cent and maybe some more.

I didn’t think it was going to have much torque then I got it and saw the size, so I ramped it up to high and tried it out and it just about twisted my wrist off. I think the lowest setting it best for putting screws in and only use max when taking them out.
