As used by and one of the official sponsors of Jack Post (H&A Podcast) 😂

The ‘dark roasted always goes on sale slightly after the other ones’ theorycrafters were correct yet again. Absolute madlads!

  • I had a look of a few varieties in a supermarket - none are made with peanuts in Australia. Where are these peanut come from?

    • +1

According to the jar from South America. They used to be 100% Aussie peanuts, but according to Mayvers, demand was too strong for Australian supply. From memory there's a blog post about it on their website.

They used to be but I think Australian peanuts are in short supply at the moment.

  • Yumm

  • So on the topic of peanut butter, did Woolies take their dark roast Bega simply nuts off the shelf?

I can't find them in store anymore.

    • What state are you in? I get this one too, and it's showing online as in stock at all my locals.

      • NSW not even a shelf spot for it any more at 2 locals

  • Are you guys aware that there’s an extra crunchy version of the dark roasted PB? Never knew it existed, stocked up on it when I was a Coles yesterday..

    • +1

      zwagh?

    • Hell yeah, it's the best! Hopefully Amazon get on board with it. I'm making the trip into Coles especially for it.

    • No I wasn't

Thank you very much. I'll make a special drive to Coles to get some. Sounds scrumptious 🙂

  • Damn - the dark roasted smooth isn't on special :(

I ordered 20 from Coles to C & C, but wondering if they'll cancel the order (due to being 20)

    • Do they do that? Allow to order 20 and tend to cancel because it's 20 items?

      • +1

I meant because they probably won't have 20 available

        • Oh yeah, I can see that coming now.

          Overselling FTW (of the sellers).

    • +1

How long does it take to go through 20 jars?

      • +13

        Depends how much you eat.
For example, if you eat a jar a day, it will take 20 days.

          How insightful

          • +2

@citybargainhunter: Three of us eat it in our household, and we go through a jar in just over a week.

          • +1

@citybargainhunter: Well you've asked a very vague question.
A family of 5 who have peanut butter sandwiches for lunch every day will probably use more peanut butter than a single person who adds it to their smoothie on a Saturday.

            • @SirCH: OK, perhaps it wasn't clear, but my question was directed at Richard. I was curious how long it would take him / his family to finish all that PB, more specifically I was wondering if it's all for personal consumption.

  • Most excellent, now i can avoid the odd looks i get at coles when buying a dozen jars of peanut butter lol

    • meh, literally the only things I bought at Coles yesterday were 8 jars of PB and a loaf of bread

I kind of feel sorry for the people that can't stand the texture of crunchy PB.

  • jeez how quick did this go.

  • This is marked “expired” but I just ordered some. Dispatch 2-4 weeks but not in a rush

  • It is on Coles special this week. So go to your nearby Coles and no need to wait for the delivery from Amazon :)
