I am guessing use of code W1SD11 will void cashback. Meh! 11% off code wins.

  • Missed out of the eBay UAP-U6-lite deal the other day. This come spretty close, I wonder if there will be a better eBay deal around black friday…

  • Dump question here that whether I am able to use Klarna multiple times at different vendor? Already purchused one item at somewhere else, got an email saying they would cover the last installment. Can I use it here again through Klarna?

  • When I signed up for a Klarna account today, I haven't come across them prompting me for ID verification which AfterPay forces you to do. Have I missed something?
It was the most easiest signup ever.

Also, I still cannot see where to put in my Flybuys number within the Rewards tab.

    • They will ask for verification (and credit check!) once you try check out and process your first payment.

Can only link your flybuys once you have made your first purchase, just make sure you active the Klarna rewards before the 1st purchase and you are good to go.

      • Thanks, mate.

      • Klarna won't let you hide behind a Revolut one time use (disposable) virtual credit card.

Do you know if they penalise you for paying off all installments in one go? IIRC, LatitudePay does this.

Basically, Klarna won't apply the $50 discount until you have paid off your third installment.

just hit up their chat. Last time I spoke to them and was able to pay off the remaining 2nd & 3rd instalments immediately. They did ask me to pay them as 2 payments with the corresponding amount.

  • Does Klarna do a credit check?

    • +1

      Yes, also mentioned above

      • Sorry, missed that! Thanks

        • Also, I think they check every time you buy, but the others only check once.

    • they do a credit check for your first purchase. and again after 90 days unless you keep using it.

      • They provide an option to not use a credit bureau for ID verification.

  • How's Wireless1 and backorders - do they usually cancel items that are backordered?

  • any 512gb sd card deals with this ?

  • $509 for the UDM Pro. Anyone think we’ll see any cheaper over Black Friday or just bite the bullet and buy now?

    • You mean for the regular dream machine?

Ubiquiti UDM UniFi Dream Machine - All-in-one Home Office Network Solution USG UniFi Controller - $461.91
      Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Pro - All-in-one Home/Office Network Solution - $559.81

Ahh, so I assume you're talking with the $50 Klarna as well.

      My bad

      • +1

Yep, was meaning with the Klarna promo as well.

        Anyway, ordered the UDM Pro.

Sorry pretty new to the whole ubiquiti system. Can the u6 act as a router? Or does it need another access hub/main unit like the udm pro?

    • +2

The u6 is simply an access point. You will need a router for it to work.

      • Do you have recommendations on what a whole setup would look like? Would it just be 1x udm pro with multiple u6's around the house?

        • UDM pro and U6 LR is a good combo. A PoE switch or PoE injector is needed to power the U6 LR.

        • UDM non pro will be fine by itself in most homes

    • I went for the udm (non pro) route. Don't have a dedicated room for the rack :(

I am setting mine up with pfsense for this exact reason 🙂

  • wireless1 use fastway so send to your po box or parcel locker instead.
