  • but with Klarna waives the 4th payment

    That's nice of them.

  • Haven't been able to get Klarna to work on their site for the last 2 days.

    • Mine didn’t work on kogan (kept getting knocked back).. but now does on digi direct

    • Didn't have any drama, ordered on a desktop, selected Karna, it sent a code to your phone, used it, done.

  • Q: Where does it show the 4th payment as waived?

    Thanks OP - got one.

Klarna emailed confirming 4th payment free.

    • Same - Thanks OP

  • Great! Just what I was looking for. Ordered one.

Klarna performs a credit check at first purchase and then every 12 months. Not sure if this is a good thing for your credit score if you are planning to apply for a loan.

Pencils seem quite expensive these days.

    • +4

Only if you can add i in front of it.

      • Good thing they didn't do that here, imagine the price then!

Perfect, thanks OP! My goddaughter has asked for a Logitech Crayon for Christmas but at these prices I may as well get her the Apple version. Unless someone has experience with the Logitech Crayon and think I should get that instead?

Just need her mum to let me know if she has a newer iPad or older one to get gen 1 pencil! Hope the code still works tomorrow!

My opinion is go with pencil rather than crayon, pencil has features including side magnetic wireless charging(hassle free compared to crayon), touch pressure sensitivity (most useful when drawing), tap to undo and most apple ecosystem.

      • Agreed. I wish I didn't impulse buy the crayon.

nice deal OP, I'd held off pulling the trigger on one of these but this brought them down into the "I can stomach that" range of "expensive for what they are but it is what it is" (if only Klarna would've offered to pick up the final payment on a long lens I started looking at while on there)

Thanks OP, i bought one. Received final payment waiver confirmation email.

I had an issue with the Klarna verification OTP SMS not coming through at all, tried phone, ipad, chrome, firefox, edge, nothing worked…. until an hour later, all the OTP SMS's started arriving at the same time. Tried again and it worked normally.

  • is there referral promo for Klarna? anyone wanna DM me their referral code and what must i do to sign up?

  • It says I cannot use the klarna option…

  • Worked fine for me. Looks like the offer ends today according to the Klarna website

  • Didn't work on my desktop but worked on my phone

Worked and got the email confirmation not long after from Klarna. Thanks OP!

Can you pay off your repayments immediately with Klarna like some other BNPL companies? Also, if I can and do pay it off early, will Klarna still honour the last payment covered or is it only covered if I leave it as a scheduled payment?

    • +1

It says it would refund you the last repayment if you pay off earlier, however, I just leave it on for scheduled payment, two weeks per scheduled payment.

  • 4 interest-free payments
Sorry, we can't complete this purchase Please choose a different payment option.
Do someone know what happened for that??

    • I purchased an hour ago, all went through okay. Try from desktop maybe.

  • Does everyone know that if you don't charge the pencil regularly, then the battery readily dies completely? I coincidentally found mine a couple of days ago after misplacing it a little while ago. I reattached it and the iPad recognises it is there but it will not charge. I did some googling and apparently this has happened to tonnes of people. It is pretty much guaranteed to occur if you are not super careful. I can't believe that an item that retails for nearly $200 could be so temperamental. People are also saying that Apple wouldn't repair or replace the pencil and attributed fault to the owner. The thing should come with a bright red warning on the box. I noticed that few people went out and bought a replacement after feeling burned so badly by the experience. The only solution that I've found that worked for a few people was to heat it up with a hair dryer for 15 minutes. I tried warming mine up a little but haven't tried applying high heat for a long period yet. That is the last resort I guess.

    • Try to use iPhone charger to charge it instead of using iPad lightening port, I didn't use mine for almost a year, then recharge it through iPhone charger, seems back to normal.

      • Hi Jayzee,

Mine is an Apple pencil 2. It can only be charged via magnetic attachment to a compatible iPad, unlike an Apple pencil 1, which has a lightning charger attachment. In a way, you could argue on this basis that the original pencil is potentially superior. I found this support answer on the Apple website, which sums up the situation:

"The tiny internal Li-ion battery is susceptible to permanent/irreversible damage through being left discharged for long periods. Even some “new” pencils can exhibit signs of failure out-of-the-box if they are “old stock”. It is essential that if you have an Apple Pencil that you charge it regularly - whether used or not - so as to protect the battery from deep-discharge.

If the Pencil Battery has failed, the only remedy is to replace the Pencil. If the battery has failed and your pencil is within its one-year warranty, you should look to having it replaced by your retailer or at an Apple Store."

        • I feel like consumer law would suggest a $200 pencil should last a lot more than a year

(it seems like terrible circuit design not to have a hard cutout below a certain voltage where it could just sit. Li-Ion batteries in a good temperature last for a long long time inactive provided the cell voltage isn't drained too low.

looks like they got ozbargained, email this afternoon:

"I regret to inform you that due to a spike in our online sales, we have oversold the following item/s from your order:
    Apple Pencil (2nd Gen)

We have been in contact with our supplier, who has indicated they expect availability by this week or early next week. Please be advised that the ETA is subject to change. We will stay on top of this and endeavor to update you as soon as there is news to report or will send you tracking details as soon as your item is processed for shipping."

    • At least I am not the only one to receive this email despite ordering soon after the original post.

Hopefully they are true to their word and will get more from their supplier and not cancel.
