  • Looks good but it would be even better with the sunglasses included o{o

  • they are a truly hot pair of sunglasses

  • I totally agree, the HDD is a good deal, but I'd rather buy those sunglasses!

  • I'll buy if you throw in the sunnies

  • hahaha

  • I work in IT and I am going backpacking around the world for 18 months and I have been researching rugged 2.5" drives, and the Lacie is apparently pretty unreliable, the ruggedness is a joke with this model. The best rugged drive is the Freecom Toughdrive, but these are too expensive especially in Australia. If you want a rugged drive you are better off with the just released Iomega eGo drive, and there is a website selling the 320GB model for less only $144. I have done the research, do your own and you'll see I know what I'm talking about: http://www.megabuy.com.au/iomega-320gb-portable-usb-p80626.h…

    • In what regard of ruggedness? the shock absorption rating, the material or something else?

      • The ruggedness is not all it's cracked up to be, it's really just a rubber mounting on the outside and a plain enclosure on the inside. Just keep in mind none of these drives have any special features for when the drive is ON, like parking the head when it detects momentum. It is only rugged when the drive is off. The best solution which I would like is to be able to purchase the Freecom toughdrive unit without a drive, and then install my own 500GB drive with a free-fall sensor.

        • Do you need to be super clumsy or is there any other reason to warrant such devices? no offense meant, just curious ..

  • Good prize but I don't need firewire support and I don't want to pay for that fearture.

  • Note that the firewire/USB version is now sold out and it is now only the plain vanilla :) USB only version on sale at the same price!

  • Seriously, I've spent the last week trying to find those sunglasses, any clues as to where I can buy a pair would be met with my eternal gratitude.
