      I got one just now.

    $9 S&S Amazon for S'mores, free delivery with prime - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00RW2YJEW/

    • Went quick by the look of it.

  • Thanks OP got the white rasberry. $10 bucks and collect from Target.

  • +1

Thanks ordered 3 boxes. Great price

  • Amazing deal. Got three of the raspberry

  • Absolute legend, OP. Grabbed a few boxes of each which will last a while.

  • +1

Thanks, haven't bothered to try these yet. For this price it's worth a try

  • +1

    Thanks OP.

I bought the choc flavour about 3 weeks ago. I don't remember the exact date, but the box I received expires at the end of december 2021

    • Same here, also bought 3 weeks ago.. at $20 a box :(

  • +1

Got these last night, free click and collect at Kmart as well.

  • Wtf is s'mores flavour?

    • +2

Id guess a chocolate marshmallow flavour.

  • +1

Signed up for Club Catch free trial for free express shipping.

  • Bought 4 boxes, would be an actual waste if they expire in December.

    • +2

I'd eat them past their due date for something like this.

  • +1

That is some top notch value - nice spot OP. The only drawback with buying these in bulk is that they get consumed so much faster out of convenience, but hey, whatcha gonna do ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  • Thanks OP, $10 is a great price!

  • +2

Thanks OP! Bought 6 boxes, stacked with 8% off egiftcards at Rewards Gateway and paid $55.20 with C&C. Cheaper than making my own at this rate.

    • +1

Out of curiosity what recipe do you use to make your own? Mine come to about $2 a bar for 100g worth, wondering if there is a more cost effective method.

      • +1

This recipe is pretty good but the mixture is a pain to stir and also helps to wet your hands before rolling the balls so they don't stick - https://www.wellplated.com/peanut-butter-protein-cookies/. I just use normal brown sugar and white flour rather than coconut as the amounts are so small. But macros are completely different for these - these are just essentially higher protein cookies so very much so a treat. I normally whip up a double or triple batch and freeze them. Microwave for 10 secs before eating and they're soft and delicious without tasting grainy.

Still looking for decent other flavour recipes - would love to make a matcha cookies with my matcha or milk tea protein powder from MyProtein.

        • Thank you!

  • Super cheap, thanks for sharing! Got four boxes and free delivery to Kmart because I'm not a Catch member any more.

  • Nice price, the choc cookies one has a lot of carbs tho..

  • Great deal! Thank you OP. Also picked up a few boxes of the short dated grenade bars because why not.

  • Thanks OP just got 3 boxes

  • Good stuff OP. Been waiting for a deal on these for a while.

  • Had a $10 credit from the previous cheap beer deal that fell through and used it on this. Cheers!

  • Had a $15 off $60 offer so got 6 boxes and used 6% Suncorp gift cards to pay. $42.30 for 72 bars!

  • thanks, op. got two boxes

  • +4

Grenade bars for $10 too, far superior to quest in my opinion.

    https://www.catch.com.au/product/12-x-grenade-carb-killa-hig…

    • +1

You must be talking about taste. Because quest bars have superior protein quality (no soy).

      • Whats wrong with soy?

        • +1

          Less Essential AAs vs wpi/wpc.

        • Many things wrong with soy but yes the protein quality isnt as good as Whey.

      • +2

Yep taste. Grenade/BSC actually look/taste like a chocolate bar.

        • +1

Yep, Quest does taste a bit like chewy protein powder!

    • High in Saturated fat and cholesterol, also high in carbs unless you are trying to gain weight. Also soy protein…..pass

      • What's high in carbs?

    • Much higher calories though

  • +9

These things are glorified candy bars folks, please don't fall for the "but it has 20g of protein and only 1g of sugar" trap, what do you think the other 40g is? Useless filler laced with sweeteners, milk powder, gelatin and palm oil – unnecessary calories.

The only beneficial ingredient in these is the isolate whey protein, take that instead. Perhaps preparing a shake or smoothie takes more time but think about what's going into your body.

    • People see protein and think health

    • +4

I buy them for a meal during one of my breaks at work, or pre-workout if I just need some calories before training.

I don't think their healthy, but if you lift weights they can be ideal or for a meal replacement while you work.

I definitely shouldn't be eating them daily, I agree but it beats a chocolate bar or something else.

    • +10

What's the trap? My shakes are 110-150cal but a touch more protein and these bars are maybe 50-100 more calories for a glorified candybar, a treat if you will. It's easy for me to chuck a protein cookie or bar in my training bag to have if I'm low. If it fits your macros then you're golden, and getting some protein in is better than an unglorified candybar.

      • Thanks guys, appreciate both well expressed views from Orpheon and bxpressiv:

        1. Be aware they're glorified candy bars*
        2. Use accordingly

        (*better than unglorifed ones)

  • +1

I spent $230 on protein cookies recently, some $7/12 some $9/12.

Just variety, now I'll have to spend more as these are better value protein wise. I got 400+ cookies tho 🤣🤣🤣

  • +5

    Aka fart bars

  • Have quest vastly improved their taste and texture? I found other (US) brands far better texture and taste to Quest so was wondering why Quest gets so much love on ozb.

    • +1

I think they're pretty tasty if a bit chewy. So ridiculously expensive usually though!

      • +1

I used to get those chewy / rubbery type bars that Aussie brands have a lot of (MAX etc). But then a few years back I heard and then tried some US brands, and some of them have great texture and flavour, They have like proper crunch / chocolate bar type texture but still low in sugars and carbs / fats and high in protein. Of course majority of all of them use that sugar alcohol type carb to provide texture and fibre without the usual insulin sugar hit.

        • +1

Pretty sure the double choc is US stock anyway. Not sure about the other two

    • +1

I think the nutritional profile is better than most other protein bars.
As to what I mean by 'better', I think it's a balance of concerns - lower sugar, lower filler, decent protein quantity, high fiber.
(I also like Primal Kitchen bars, but a lot more expensive)

      • +1

Maybe it's time I try them out again. :)

  • They used to be better. Now they taste like trash.

    But each to their own.

edit: I do like that Catch put the expiry date though!!

    • I've never tasted trash so can't really compare but i do agree that they (Quest Bars) used to taste better than they currently do.

      • +2

        Long story.

  • thanks op

  • Dont forget further 10% off via studentbeans for those who are eligible. Just ordered 5 boxes for $45

  • Pay with PayPal. Had problems last order and the customer is very almost non existant. They do respond quick to phone enquiries though…

  • White choc rasp is $45 now.

Also, don't forget discounted Catch gift cards (eg Suncorp 6%)

  • Now $15 for the Smores, and $45 for the white chocolate raspberry

  • System probably recognises sales and increases price automatically

  • Does this work without a Facebook account?

    • Huh? Just an email or checkout as guest

      • The 'Quest' 😂

        • Lmao right over me

  • The s’mores doesn’t show an expiry date, does that mean we’re good and it’s got a few more months left?

    • Expires Feb 2022 for me

  • -2

These are just apple cores and old Chinese newspapers.

  • +1

There’s some helpful comments here. I’ve tried a few of the flavours and agree with the “chewy/tyre consistency” comments. Trying to find a substitute for a chocolate bar - don’t eat many (despite the nickname 😀), but Quest isn’t it. Aldi’s are just wrong. Suggestions have included BSc and Grenade, and some unnamed US brands. Any other ones to check out?

    • What's your motivation- reduce sugar? increase protein? keto? reduce calories?

Atkins bars could fit as long as you don't over-indulge as they contain maltitol.

    • MusclePharm Combat Crunch are nice.

    • I think it may depend on your objectives. If you want max protein, grenade is good on taste. I don't mind the 'My Protein' bars either.
If you want to avoid sugar or suss artificial sweeteners, and have something high-protein but also pretty healthy, I really like Primal Kitchen bars - but they're expensive, and protein content is moderate.

(See tip below re microwaving these quest bars)

    • BSN Protein Crisp. It's like a Kellogg's LCM (rice puff bar).

Each to their own, but I have had every flavour Quest have made and only a couple have been poor. Halloween Pumpkin was nice from a few years ago. Cinnamon was my least favourite.

  • +1

White Choc Raspberry is back at $10 — just ordered some.

    • Thanks just ordered

    • Dammit back up to $45 now

  • +1

For those who think the bars are too chewy to enjoy…
This might be a bit gross, but - in the past - I've put these bars in the microwave for about 10-20 seconds, and they've become like a soft little cake.
    YMMV.

    • +1

Nah that's not gross, a lot of people eat them like that

      • Phew. Validated

      • never tried that, i should give it a go next time.

  • -1

damn you guys. these bars taste terrible. check out BCS for protein bars that dont make you want to throw up

    • If you mean BSC, yes I definitely prefer it over Quest, speaking of which many BSC lines are 25% off at our local Coles right now.

As for Quest, just got the Choc Raspberry over their Double Choc — prefer Choc Raspberry. I might even have a go at the microwave idea today…

      • Thanks bro! I really appreciate your reply. I'll definitely smash some BSC bars. Excellent way to hit the cravings with less guilt. Thanks!

  • doh just smores left now.

  • Did any of you get it yet? My order still shows up as "Ordered" since 24/11. I'm in WA though.

    • Mine is ready for C&C from Kmart- has been for a few days.

    • WA also
Been ready for pick up since Tuesday at local Kmart

    • Nope. Not at my kmart yet

      • still nothing for you as well?

        • Still nothing.

          • @kickling: Mine just says it's awaiting collection today. Hopefully yours comes soon.

  • Apparently my order was shipped out on the 24/11/21 but status of my order still says in progress. Anyone else? These quest bars are probably gonna expire by the time it's ready for collection lol

    • fwiw, ordered on 24 nov and picked up at local kmart on 30 nov. my two boxes are dated late jan and sometime in feb — plenty of time to eat 24 bars 👍🏼 (esp if you share the ones you don't like 😁)

  • Ordered 23/11 and no delivery yet. Apparently an issue with Aust Post in NSW (I live in Qld). It was delayed to last week but then my latest notification is to contact Aust Post is there is no delivery by Thursday this week (and synically I expect that date to be extended)
