Depends on how long ago. I have price protection on my CC so made a claim from June when I paid $190 for it.
I don't have price protection. I bought it the other day from the previous deal just before this one. I did see I can return the item but I need to pay $7 shipping meaning I"d save around $6. I'm not sure I Ozbargain hard enough to return it for $6 or even $12.
Epic fail.
I installed it a few days ago and just broke my rear camera (and/or cable), got the handlebar of my kid's scooter caught in the cable when taking it out of the boot and it must have damaged the port or something.
So sad. Doesn't look like I can even buy a replacement.

I'm guessing the port on the camera could be replaced, but I dunno how to get the broken plastic out of the cable…
I don't have much DIY electronic experience or a soldering iron etc so probably not worth me trying to do it myself…

I think Coles stopped this insurance, so they're quite rare cards to have.
@lordra: Yeah, I regularly use it for price protection, but have never used it for merchandise protection, I just remember reading it once and it popped in my head. There's even life and disability protection etc… so many different insurances included
