The following terms are specific to the $45 amaysim cashback offer (CRDEAL1), but are similar across all 3 long expiry plans:

  1. Limited strictly to the first 5000 mobile services (redemptions), and one per Cashrewards member.         • You can fill the porting number with this promo and activate sim before 31st Dec, but you can't choose a new number now and request porting later

  • Anyone knows whether the cashback applies in the following situation:

    • Already have an Amaysim account, but the only service within it is a number different from the one I'm porting in.
    • The number I'm porting in was with Amaysim until 10 November, but was ported out then and is with another provider.

    If you want to bring your number over you must select "bring my number" when making your order.

    you won't be able to port in your old number after you have received your SIM card.

    • Can you pls clarify:

      • if I select bring my abc number
      • later on can I port my def number to the sim?
      • The porting process only happens after you activate the SIM card, either via the amaysim app or the website.

        The important thing is that you pre-select the number you wish to port before you make the purchase. You can't choose to port to a different number after making the order.

        • This is correct scrimshaw, thanks for clarifying. The port doesn’t need to be done immediately but you must state your intention to port the number at point of sale (see here) rather than just pick a new number (see here).

    • Since I bought the pack before your comment, and chose a new number thinking I could port to existing no. after receiving the SIM — do I contact CS directly to rectify it?

      • CS wasn't able to solve it for me, I instructed them to cancel it.

        Point#9 refers to internal amaysim related referrals as opposed to CR. Are you able to please confirm @tightarse?

          Refer a friend will not be given to you regardless of Term 9. if you used the same iP address for your wife's account. That will just trigger their automatic anti-fraud implementations.

          Fraudulent orders and activitities, including creation of alternate accounts (against terms of service), will result in rewards forfeiture and account closure.

          Purchasing 2* 165GB $100 12-month SIM ($55 after CB) for a total of $110, then double dipping for an additional $40 off ($20 each to your wife and yourself) through their Refer a friend scheme is a bit risky.

          It's very hard for CB to determine if you are a genuine referral if you used the same IP address

          You could also risk Amaysim declining both of your cashbacks if they have any good fraud system. But I highly doubt that.

    • After paying with Paypal, in the account dash, you can enter either your passport / medicare number / driver licence and one more option(I forgot) to complete the ID check.

    Actually, the number I wanted to port was already in the system as it was a $0 Sim card I ordered for my mum, but the Sim card wasn't yet delivered nor activated. The live chat rep was so nice to deleted the unactivated number so I could order new with her number. Very good customer service :)

  • Hi tightarse I just wanted to ask, I signed up and chose to port a number over and cashrewards was tracked instantly. But afterwards realized there was a new number that I liked, I tried to go on live chat but they said they cannot change the order except to cancel it.

          You need to talk to Customer support, there is no link in your account or dashboard that will let you cancel orders

    • If you buy different plans, you’re good to go. No issues with cashback. If you buy the same ones, the additional ones will be declined.

    • I ordered at 11:30AM. Received the email confirming my order and another at 3:30pm to say the sim is on its way. I thought they posted it extremely quick considering the volume of orders they would be receiving.

      • they might have posted it quick, but the courier they use is slow. At least in my experience. The wait is usually 3-5 days.

        • Yeah thats about how long it took for my Amaysim sim that I ordered last month to come. For me 3-5 days is super quick. Its not uncommon to wait 2 or 3 wks for a small parcel to come where I live. I was pleased they sent the sim same day. Quite often when I order something the item will not be processed and sent for 2-3 days, then tack on the carrier time to that.

  • Two questions, OP. 1) Let's say if I activate my sim on 30th Dec, will the 365-period start from that day? I will be moving my number to Amaysim, if that's relevant.

    2) If I don't bother to get $45 cashback, then what's the activation deadline?

    • Hi. Yes I believe the full 365 days starts from activation time. If it doesn’t, simply jump on chat with amaysim and they’ll sort it.

      As for activation deadline where cashback is not involved, you’d again need to take this up with amaysim directly as the process may be completely different once a cashback partner is not involved. Thanks.

  • Just purchased 12 month 165gb plan. Haven't used Amaysim in 2 years, and my payment debit card was out of date… the "purchase" still went through and was tracked by Cashrewards, but I had to change my debit details to make the offical payment afterward. I hope that cashback will be approved… can anyone confirm or deny? ahah
