Seeing these types of posts make me sad :(

why? I need a graphics card but theyre so expensive, looking for the cheapest way possible.. doesnt look like this is it tho

        • Actually he may have misread you.. I initially thought you meant "to mine" ie bitcoin

          • +3

@OzViper: yeh probably, but no, dont want to mine, just want to play halo and age of empires

@mavis30551: I'm playing both of these games almost flawlessly on high settings with a 7 year old system and 980ti so don't feel like you need state of the art to run those. Load times bit slower on my old ssd though.

      • this can make you maybe $200 of crypto a year lol, you get your money back in 6 years!!

  • Not up to date on the latest computer specs. Any thoughts on this one versus the one posted yesterday for $300 more? Don't mind paying extra is the upgrade components are worth it

I think the key difference is the graphics card. This one is a 3060 whilst the one you linked is a 3060 Ti. The 3060 Ti is roughly ~30% better in terms of fps but it will depend on which game you're playing. If you're getting a computer mostly for gaming, then it makes sense to put more of your money towards a better GPU (assuming other parts won't bottleneck it). Another consideration is what monitor you have - for a 3060 Ti you'd be wanting at least a 1440p monitor to take advantage of its better performance (or a montior with a higher refresh rate).

ideally you'd want a 1440p monitor with the 3060 Ti. Anything higher and depending on the game you'll have to reduce quality settings and likely in the future, texture resolution more oftenly due to it's 8GB vram.

      • Building on top of JimmyLmao, the 3060TI deal has inbuilt wifi and bluetooth on the mb, RAM at 3200Mhz, a NVMe ssd. All things you would want to upgrade on this machine.

  • Where are you seeing that price? I see $1488

As always with TechFast, gotta use the code next to the little shopping trolley in the deal post. If you click the code, it automatically copies to your clipboard

      • Oops, thank you.

  • Edit: all sorted
