I had an exchange with the Cashrewards rep about this.
If you want to be pedantic, the rep did not mention anything about other Woolworths Group gift cards or gift cards, but if BIG W has excluded the redemption of WISH gift cards (which are sold at a lower discount than BIG W gift cards at most gift card portals), I’m 99.99% sure they would also exclude transactions where you redeem any other type of Woolworths Group gift card.
Must have changed in the last few days… I made an order through SB on the 19th to get the $5 bonus cashback on $250 spend, used a WISH card to pay for the whole order, it tracked fine and challenge completed, and pretty sure it still said then that WISH cards as payment method were fine.
Big difference between showing as Tracked & Cashback being paid out!
Tracking just shows a purchase was made through their site, not that it met t&c!!
As t&c do change - always check before purchase.

@INFIDEL: True, but I've had purchases from other stores not track after using a promo code, so at least this tracked. And I suppose you could still get lucky and have cashback approved for a purchase even after using a promo code or an ineligible payment method.
Anyway, I think I recall checking before I made the purchase and it still saying that using WISH cards as payment method were eligible for cashback.

People have said they received cashback, despite t&c showing they weren't eligible. It's up to the Merchant, not the Cashback operator.
Can always buy through SB, just don't count on Cashback.

They were eligible not too long ago, but that recently changed :(
@MiscOzB: I had a public discussion about this with a CR rep on 08 Nov and they already knew about the gift card exclusion clause at the time, so it was definitely changed by 08 Nov and was most likely a few days before 08 Nov.
The SB website also was updated by 10 Nov to reflect this.

You’re looking at the exclusions for ShopBack’s referral system. Those exclusions have nothing to do with the exclusions for this cashback deal.
Btw, to answer you questions, if you redeem any type of Woolworths Group gift cards on BIG W Online, it will invalidate all cashback.

PC browser for BIG W site was just frozen (yes, let it go.. Nice one MattyD) and no amount of refresh worked. In the end, I went through the Shopback phone app and bought/pre-ordered Nintendo Switch OLED that way. Transaction went through fine and received confirmation email.

Cashback always excludes GST as stated in the T&C's on all merchant pages.
This is due to us not receiving commission payments on the value of GST.
