Bought this for $100 couple months ago to replace a powerline kit and 3 routers.

Does a good job getting the Wi-Fi in all areas of the house but id opt for the MW6 if you need to max out your speeds.

Also im having an issue with devices not connecting to the closest node, e.g. I will be in the living room and it will stay connected to the garage node on 1-2 bars of wifi. I have to disconnect and reconnect. Same with the work laptop, node is 5 meters away yet it connects to the node 20 meters away.

    • Common problem. I have the same behaviour with Nokia beacon 1. Had to disconnect and reconnect WiFi on devices.

  • Can this be used in conjunction with an existing router ? I have an Asus AC5300.

they do support bridge mode, hence if you want you can continue using it with existing router

  • Router has 10/100 LAN ports not gigabit.
    But OK as a repeater.
