better if you said if CL18 is good or bad

The CL (CAS latency) number is how many clock cycles the RAM spends refreshing the data. At the same speed lower is better. But as speed increases so does the latency (CL). The effect on overall performance will be very small.
For a Intel processors it doesn't matter much for AMD get the faster 16CL

        • Thank you, will look for 16 or faster.

@RtN: It's not that big of a deal, the cost goes up fast for almost no gain.

    • Personally I would prefer better timmings

I cant speak for the exact set you will receive if you buy these but I have a set of fury beast 3600mhz CL18 and they are single rank. Even though i Overclocked them to 16-19-19-19-36 very easily, they bench lower than my 3200mhz CL16 Ripjaws. I would consider the 3200mhz CL16 deal posted yesterday for $145 because from what i can tell they are dual rank and should perform better than this set.

      Great feedback. Thanks.

    • Doesnt seem like they get good feedback on the quality of the ram…(the 3200 kit)

    • Thoughts differ here https://www.oempcworld.com/support/singlevsdualram.html
They suggest single is better. Tbh I doubt any of us would see a noticeable difference between them though.

      • Single vs dual rank was what I put it down to (probably easiest thing to blame) but the benches don't lie. At stock XMP, this kit benched noticeably lower than my 3200mhx CL16 g.skill set. Coincidently so did my other set of team t-force 3600mhx CL18 (also single rank).

  • Bugger deal. I bought two sets of these recently, one for $254 and one for $229 :(

  • Missed it
